Problems starting up a PC can be tricky to fix, since Windows hasn't had a chance to load its arsenal of troubleshooting tools. Some people simply give up and reinstall Windows.

Startup Repair can prevent a time-consuming reinstallation by diagnosing and repairing problems that prevent Windows from starting.

Startup Repair is designed to start automatically if Windows detects a startup problem. For more information about using Startup Repair, and what to do if it doesn't start automatically

here is my solution... when you boot your window when you're middle in dos loading press F8 and select boot in safe mode... then when you are in windows click start --> all programs ---> accessories---> sytem tools ---> system restore... hope you back up your windows.... try to restore your window in earlier time...

HOPE IT HELPS AND GOD BLESS

My computer keeps showing rapair recommened or start up normally. what is the problem

If you close your computer without using the windows bar button, it will show the repair message on startup. You should always use the "turn off computer" in the start menu to shut down your pc.

HP Compaq Presario CQ60-249US PC Notebook, my trackpad and mouse buttons have stopped responding. I am trying to check the cable connections and possible install a new one. Anyone tell me how to remove...

To access the mouse cable remove the battery - remove the screws securing the keyboard - carefully lift the keyboard out and check the security of the cable BUT in your instance look at the small on / off button in front of the mouse pad and ensure it is turned on ( blue light ) for on yellow off -- if it is blue go to Started - all programs - recovery manager - activate recovery manager - select advanced options - select reinstall a selected driver - select the touch pad driver - reinstall - reboot if that fails go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3872064#N1238 & download & install the latest touch pad driver. I need help resetting my computer to its factory default settings it is a compaq presario cq60-615dx

Hello,

to reset your laptop, restart your computer and constantly press F11 once the first black screen on your laptop displays, or the Compaq logo display. Your computer will automatically load to recover manager and you can factory restore you computer from there.

2nd option: click start menu, click all programs and scroll to "Hp backup and recovery" or "Backup and recovery" click it and proceed for the factory default setting.

Good luck.
