Blood damage to switches
I don't know if this is a sign of the times but ?????????? I'm sorry that you had to clean all of the blood out of the machine. You should replace all of the switches etc. You can buy used parts for these machines on Ebay really cheap now.
I hope that you do not have to work on any more machines filled with blood.

How can i unblock websites
Open your browser and Click TOOLS/ INTERNET OPTIONS/ SECURITY/ TRUSTED SITES. Then if the box in the lower left corner is checked, UNCHECK IT. After that, type the web address you want to allow in the other box @ the top and click the ADD button. Click OK to close. Now you should have no problem. Do that for future websites you want to add as well. BUT PLEASE BE SURE TO ONLY ADD WEBSITES THAT YOU ARE CERTAIN TO BE SAFE!!! Otherwise the Threat of getting a virus comes into play. OK? GOOD LUCK!! and please rate me, k? thank you
Dvd player can't play blue ray disk
If you have an earlier model Compaq, it most likely a DVD ROM player. Check the printing on the drive tray, if it says DVD ROM then it cannot play Blu ray disks.

Cq61 will not power up light flashes 3 times
In case somebody has the same problem. Result of my investigation:
* If everything is ok then the Presario CQ61 boots without battery.
* HP support recommends to do a hard reset i.e. remove power supply, remove battery, press power button to discharge everything internally, connect power, press power button
In my case the problem was solved by changing the AC Adapter (Power supply).
Note: The led besides the power connector is not reliable. It is on with the working and faulty adapter.
Note: The voltage level at the battery pins is not reliable. I had same values.
Hitachi flora laptop and problems with typing @ symbol
Using it in English mode? Does that mean that Windows is set to English??
Does it have a standard QWERTY english keyboard?? If it has a japanese keyboard, with windows set to English, then the keys will be different. Shift key with number 2 gives you the @ symbol on a QWERTY english keyboard.
Keyboard
The Numeral Lock mode is turned on by pressing the key named "NUM LOCK" which is usually located on the top of the number keypad (on far right side of keyboard).
However, laptop keyboards are different. Most laptops do not have a separate numeral keypad set. Those laptops usually use a blue (or other color-coded) "Fn" key, on the bottom left. You must press that Fn key at the same time as the "Num Lock" key of same colr. Then a light comes on to indicate the mode change, and some alpha-numeric keys on the keyboard now become your numeral keypad. On mine, it is 789, UIO (456), JKL (123) and M (which is zero).
If this is too confusing, you can plug in a cheap full size desktop keyboard, using the USB or PS2 port on your laptop. That is what I prefer, because the funky integrated dual-key deal interferes with all the touch-typing I learned 37 years ago.
Burning DVD
Impossible, since your device _reads_ CDs/DVDs, but does not _write_ either CD nor DVD.
Do you have a USB memory-stick (holding 4Gbytes) ?
If so, copy the files to the memory-stick,
and take the memory-stick to your friend's computer,
presuming that his/her computer has a DVD-writer.
That DVD can be _read_ on your computer.
Vertical lines in my laptop screen
BEWARE SPAM NUMBER +1-800-532-4187 BELOW
A VGA monitor is a monitor that uses a standard VGA connector to attach to your PC/laptop. A VGA connector is a small D shaped socket connector, about ½ inch long and ¼ inch wide. Its usually blue with three rows of holes (total of 15 holes) where pins from the mating connector match up with. The only other thing that may look like it is a serial port but that is easy to distinguish, it has two rows of pins for a total of 9.
What 24 sever is suggesting you do is connect another monitor to see if the problem shows up there as well. I?ll be surprised if it does since usually this type of display problem on a laptop more often than not is due to a defective connection inside the laptop screen area.
A quick test and perhaps even fix would be to grasp the right and left sides of your display while it is on (displaying the offensive lines) and gently twist like you were wringing out a towel. Again, and I emphasize, gently using only a couple of ounces of force. Watch to see if the lines disappear, get worse of make the screen flash or change. If you do then its likely cause is the connector from the LCD panel to the electronics has oxidation or a loose connection. If you?re lucky the flexing might even fix your problem, if not you will have to take it apart to find out exactly what is going on or take it to your local repair shop.
Toshiba Satellite A135-S2376, black screen problem
Just bought a Satellite & had same problem. Toshiba Support confirmed the 'Processor Power Management' fix. Within both the Min AND Max Processor State options you should set BOTH the Battery and Power Adapter options to 100%
