Hi can you please explain what you mean by going off balance, is the machine jumping ? about if so the concrete weight to stop it jumping has come loose in the on the top of the drum housing apart from that I can only wait for your response cheers eric
If you look at the Oiling Instructions in the owner's manual, it has a picture of where the oil should be applied. Only one or two drops!! It should probably be oiled frequently--about every 8 hours of sewing time. Pfaff probably sells a sewing machine oil for your machine. Just tell them your machine model and they should know what you need. Do NOT use 3-in-1, WD-40, cooking oil, or the old stinky brown stuff from grandma's sewing basket!
If you're talking about the bolt link, it means one of the two legs has jumped out of the dimple in the link plunger. Sometimes they jump out because its broken.
Perhaps the needle is not fully pushed in or not tight in the holder or has the needle plate moved and the needle is now hitting it? A bent needle will break as it hits the plate but apart from that I cannot imagine what is causing this.
According to my technical manual a help 11 code indicates that the output selector is not in the correct position. What this means is that say you have your aluminum piece all ready to be welded, you lean over and make a little adjustment to your balance and this code pops up, its because your output selector switch (the big handled 3 position rotary switch on the fron of the machine) is in the wrong position. Either DCEN or DCEP when you in fact need AC. I see this all the time on the dynasty 200's we have in the lab when people are set for DC straight current welding and try to adjust AC parameters. Such as balance and frequency.
Throwing this code does NOT mean there is anything wrong with the machine and I would not recommend bringing it somewhere for someone to look at. Just double check your settings and that should be it.

ps, you might want to just go ahead and grab that handle and see if you can feel the knives on the inside of that switch engaging. Also make sure it is not off one way or another and is engaged fully.
