In windows 7, I can't figure out how to turn "tap to click" off. There is no tapping tab. Can you tell me how to perform this task?

1) Go to the Settings app. Look for the gear icon and tap it.
2) Tap on the "My device" tab at the top to access your device settings.
3) Scroll down with your finger and tap on "Motions and gestures". It should be under the "Input and control" section.
4) Tap on "Palm motion". If it's not already done, activate the feature by sliding the switch until it turns green, first.
5) Activate the "Mute/Pause" feature by sliding the switch.

Sometimes we are not even aware of the extra unwanted software or applications which start automatically and keep running in background and eat up our processor and memory usage. This you can check by Task manager's "processes" list. Also some of these applications show their notification icons in "system tray" area which is where you see the system time on your desktop. Try to keep minimum application running in background and this will make our system smooth as it will have more resources to utilize.<br /> <p>Follow the below steps to disable unwanted applications:<br /> <p>1. Click on "start", click on "run" or press "Flag key + R" from keyboard. Type" msconfig" on the "run" window and hit "enter".<br /> <p>2. This should bring "system configuration utility" windows on screen.<br /> <p>3. Click on the "startup" TAB on the top menu. This tab holds all applications which start automatically when you turn on your computer.<br /> <p>4. Check the list carefully and uncheck the ones you don't need.<br /> <p>5. If you are not sure about some application, type its name in google search, figure out its use and decide to whether you want to keep it running or disable it.<br /> <p>6. Once you are done with the List, click on "Services "tab on top.<br /> <p>7. This "services" tab holds all important programs which give a platform for other software to work.<br /> <p>8. Check the box in bottom which says "Hide all Microsoft services".<br /> <p>9. Now you have the list of non-Microsoft programs running in background. Some of these might be you antivirus software, backup software or messengers and others may be unwanted ones.<br /> <p>10. Identify the not required items and uncheck them.<br /> <p>11. Click on "Apply" and then "OK".'<br /> <p>12. It might give you a windows asking for "restart computer" or "Exit without restart ".<br /> <p>13. Choose "Exit without restart"<br /> <p>14. Close all other windows make sure none of you important files are open and then restart your computer.<br /> <p>15. If later you want to enable any services back, just follow the same process and "Check" them in the list.<br /> <p> <br /> <p>&middot; Keep track of free disk space on root drive:<br /> <p>Free space on root drive (mostly c :\) is very important as this space is used for virtual memory or paging, hibernation and other system requirements. Ensure that at least 3 - 5 GB space should be available on root drive. If you have less than this, delete some temporary or junk files from "temp" and "%temp%" folders.<br /></span><br />
