I got a hd box and the channels keep cuttin out

Hello, I actually install HD boxes for Verizon Fios. If your video signal is too low, you will notice "Pixellation" (Those weird square boxes that come and go) and in some cases, you will not even be able to receive some channels at all. HD channels use much more bandwidth than standard definition channels. The good news....there's a fix. If you use standard cable (Not Fios) you can buy a signal booster. These can be purchased at best buy, Radio Shack, etc. It is a powered device that plugs into an outlet (110v) You take your cable company's input or "Feed" run it into the booster, connect the power, and the run a coax cable out of the booster and into your splitter. Assuming all of your cabling is up to par, this will fix your problem. If you have Verizon Fios, you must call and have us come out as our tv service uses "Moca" and cannot be boosted with a store bought unit. I hope this helps.

Verizon fios remote codes for samsung receiver

I have the Samsung Sound Bar WS1R model. I tried all of the Samsung codes; TV, audio receiver, and audio amplifier. The DVD code 3918 worked for my Verizon FiOS remote. Program it to your AUX button and it will control the volume while your other buttons; channel, menu, etc work the set top box. I hope it works for you too!

Samsung lcd 720 ln32b360 doesn't fill screen in 16:9 mode. Went through tv setup, connected it to hd box (verizon Fios) plays all HD channels but does not fill screen as it should. TV is connected to set...

If by regular cables you are talking about the standard red/yellow/white composite cables, then, yes, it will affect HD as composite cannot send an HD signal. Only HDMI and component (red/blue/green video only) cables.

Change to HDMI and let us know if it works for you.

HDTV goes blank when connected to Fios HD-DVR or Fios DTV recvr.

If you can first connect the Fios box via component and that will rectify the issue and still allow HD. HDMI is funny, if there is anykind of communication issues between the TV or the Fios box you see what happens. You might also call Samsung to see if there is ANY firmware/software updated for your TV specifically to fix such an issue with the Fios/Mortorola connection. If there isn't then the issue is the cable box since the TV works ok on HDMI with other devices.

Comcast Causing Purple/Green Hum Bars

this is normally caused by voltage on the coaxial cable which simply can be solve by a surge protector with a cable in and out.. but this is just a way to passify the issue. More than likely there is a bad ground either in your house or on the comcast line

Picture goes bad when playing Verizon Fios DVR or On Demand

I had issues when I set an SD override for the box, it would sometimes display as bad input when switching to HD content(as well as display all menus in SD even with HD mode in settings.) Turning that off in settings (also turned off "modes" which has no description) stopped it and gave me guide/menus in HD.

Zoom Function and Verizon Fios TV

On the verizon FIOS tv box, turn the FIOS STB on, and turn on the tv, tap the following buttons on the Verizon FIOS STB )in this order) 1-Power, then Select, then Menu. This will bring up the FIOS STB HD options. Arrow down to 4:3 Bypass and set the bypass option to 480P. Hit power 2 times, once to turn off, second time to turn STB back on. This should on standard channels give you the zoom feature back. This worked on my Samsunf 5053 TV model.
