Hello,there are so many reasons why your TV won't bring out sound. You need to troubleshoot first, in order to get to the root of the problem, before a solution can be proffered.First, connect a DVD player to the TV, observe if there is going to be sound. If there is still no sound after connecting the DVD player to the TV, proceed to the next step. "The reason why I asked you to connect a DVD player to the TV is to confirm if the problem is simply not from the audio cord connected to the TV."Second, get an headset, connect it to the earphone jack of the TV and observe if there is going to be sound. If there is no sound, then it is glaring now that your TV is having a defective sound card/IC that's why it is not bring out any sound. (Note that connecting an headset to your TV is optional because not all TV's has a space for headset). I had the same problem...turned out it wasnt the TV at all. It was actually the wall socket. Seems I had to many things plugged into one wall supply. (i.e. xbox 360, wii, audio reciever, dvd player, vcr, etc...) after switching some other items to a different socket my TV works GREAT!! I hope your problem is this simple!

The internal circuit has an intermittent short and disconnect. Generally this is due to excessive heat or a fractured wire. If it is related to the circuit board, components can migrate; cause a short, and cool down and make contact again. Many issues. An on again, off again issue at some time will end up with complete loss of activity at some time down the road. If the TV is not too old and you value it dearly, simply have it repair by a service technician. Other than that, with new TVs around $300, don't waste money on old technology.

Yes if in the settings menu, check in menu and look for format or wide usually in settings. If you do not see this than no may only be on the remote, but u can buy a universal like a 3 function RCA remote and look on the remote for the button format, wide, or a outline of a picture and program to the tv and it should do it for u. its ok, pause the screen and get a wax crayon the colour that you want the peoples faces to be and colour over them on the screen. when you have fully enjoyed that frame scrub it off and pause the video 1 second later. eventually you will make the whole movie like this the exact colour you want it.................

Hi, bad speakers in many flat panel TVs is a common problem. There will be av out sockets at the back of your tv. Please connect the audio from here to any amplifier or any music system you have. If you get the tv programme sound, most probably the speakers are bad. In case you do not get sound, your tv is not producing it. If the speakers are bad and you can change yourself, give it a try. Otherwise show the set to someone qualified to repair it.

reheat any solder joints that don't look 100% as well .
such as c310 .

this is a known working fix . try before you buy a supply .
