You can try to calibrate the spreader, tightening the screw at the end of the control wire should fix the situation. If calibrating the spreader does not help please call us at 800-543-8873 for more assistance. To Calibrate the Accugreen 1000: 1. Adjust the micrometer setting to a 6. 2. Flip the spreader over. 3. Use your foot to squeeze the trigger against the handle. 4. The front edge of the shutoff bar should be aligned with the calibration line engraved on the bottom of the hopper. 5. To adjust the alignment, use a small wrench to turn the black calibration screw at the lower end of the control wire leading from the micrometer insect.

I just replaced my clutch cable, but now that I've put everything back together I have a problem. The bike will from neutral to first and back without the clutch lever pulled in. However it also...

Good news, you just need adjust the clutch cable..

Always order the part for your model and year when getting parts and make sure it matches in length with the old one. Note how much cable is sticking out of the housing.
Is it 3 1/2 inches or 4 inches or 2 inches. make sure the new one matches.

Put the new cable on with lots of slack.Slack at the adjuster, and slack at the handlebar adjuster
Now pull the lever in, it will be easy because of the slack.let it stay there.
It will stay against the grip.
As you tighten the cable adjustment down by the cover, you'll notice the clutch lever move out.
Once it reaches the top, stop adjusting and pull it in again.
Continue adjusting and pulling the lever until the lever springs back to the top.
You can feel resistence which is the clutches disengaging.
Make sure there is 1/8" free play when the lever springs back.
Now turn the clutch cable adjust on the handlebar outward, which will remove the rest of the slack.
Only leave 2mm slack on the lever.

Now start your bike up and it should work like new.
You want your clutch to disengage within the first 1/2" of pulling the lever in.
This ensures the clutches are definately disengaged by the time you get the lever pulled back to the grip when shifting.

If your clutches are slipping or dragging no matter how you adjust the cable then your clutches may need replaced.
But sounds to me like its just an adjustment.
Hope to be helpful

How do i calibrate the spreader

Your AccuGreen 3000 Drop Spreader was calibrated at the factory. However, a spreader's calibration may change or slip over time or during periods of heavy use.

You may check the calibration of your Scotts Accugreen 3000 by first adjusting your micrometer setting to 6. Turn the spreader over so that you are looking at the outside of the bottom of the hopper. Use your foot to hold down the trigger (if your trigger has a locking mechanism you can lock it in place prior to turning upside down). With the micrometer set at 6 and the trigger squeezed against the handle, the front edge of the projecting ridge on the shut-off bar should be aligned with the calibration line located on the 2nd or 3rd tooth from the center. Some of the older AccuGreen 3000 Drop Spreader spreader models do not have a raised ridge. On these spreaders, line the front edge of the shut off bar to the calibration line.

To adjust the alignment, use a small wrench to turn the black calibration screw at the lower end of the control wire leading from the micrometer rate setting barrel. Adjust the screw until the calibration line and raised ridge or front edge of the shut-off bar meet. If you have any difficulty checking or adjusting the calibration, contact us and we will be happy to help walk you through the adjustment.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us and for your interest in Scotts. Please feel free to call us at 1(800)5438873 anytime we may be of assistance.

How do I calibrate Scotts Accugreen 2000 for pounds of Fertilizer per Sqft. What do setting equal?

To adjust calibration, do the following:

1) Adjust the micrometer setting to 6.

2) Turn the spreader over.

3) Squeeze the trigger against the handle.

4) The front edge of the shutoff bar should be aligned with the calibration line engraved on the bottom of the hopper.

5) To adjust alignment, use a small wrench to turn the black calibration screw at the lower end of the control wire leading from the micrometer insert.

Note: If the hopper is missing a calibration line - with the setting at 6 they should be able to pass a 9/64" drill bit through the opening just to the right of center. (First opening to the right of the spring.)

How do I calibrate my acugreen 1000 drop spreader?

The spreader comes already calibrated. The opening of the gate is determined by the setting that you input from the handle. This will correspond to the recommended settings provided on the fertilizer bag.
