Right click on the desktop, go to properties. Click on the settings tab, change your resolution settings, try a very high resolution and see if that fixes the problem. Your monitor may have an auto adjust button as well that you can try. If that is not the issue, then you may need to get the mechanical issue repaired.

Make sure you have your resolution set to 1680 x 1050 as this is the native supported screen size for this LCD. Also check your graphic card's overscan or manual adjustment settings. They might be manually set to offset the screen picture.

Having changed the os from xp to xp pro i am unable to alter the screen resolution. Any help appreciated.
Go into control panel, click display, settings on the top right, set the color quality at max and the screen resolution also at max, click okay to save settings and monitor should adjust accordingly, if not set monitor to auto setup.

How do I adjust the brightness on my Hanns G monitor? I can get to the pop up that shows the brightness adjustment but then don't know how to get the cursor on to the bar that actually does the adjustment....

if you look further down this page you will see the function button, when over brightnes press, this button and adjust from there, press it again to save, alternatly you can change the brightness in windows using settings.

Right click on desktop choose properties when the Properties window opens set the resolution to say 1024x768 32 bit, or 1280x1024 32 bit, reboot.

Go into monitor settings and turn "off" X-Contrast. X-Contrast will auto change contrast when backgrounds darkens. However, adjust manually the Brightness and Contrast settings to compensate.
