50H12 Toshiba HDTV picture out with loud 'pop'.

I am not sure what you mean by the power supply. The power to the television did not go out. The sound continued (and continues) to work. Nothing else in the house went out. Are you referring to something within the televsion? If this is the source of the problem, is it worth fixinigng?

Thanks,
Jim

It depends on the age of the tv if its within 5 years old yes by all means its worth fixing.if its an older tv i would be hesitant in spending alot of money on it when u can buy a new one for the cost of the repairs.the power supply is inside the tv in the back.a part of it has stopped working id guess it will cost about 350 to 400 to repair possibly more,

You have bad capacitors in the power supply that took out the regulator, or the ballast circuit is defective. Not really a repair for the novice. Good Luck
