The flash of my sx30 doesn't work, when i open the flash it was detected that the flash is open but the the problem is when i'm going to shoot even i press my shutter it doesn't take any picture and the flash sign in the screen just keep on blinking but no picture was taken. thank you!

Hion flash defuser unit up position, it doesn't allow to take picture. This means technically flash circuit is continuously sending charging signal causes blocking shutter release.( but not all of model, it is depend on model of camera.). Like this case, it is obvious that either a fuse brown or charge controlling pcb defective. I recommend you send to your local repair shop or canonUSA. They would charge around $45 to165 depend on what they really want to charge.
