Hello.
- This error occurs when the wireless security that you set on the wireless laptop does not match the wireless security on the router.
- If the wireless router's security setting is WPA but on the laptop you used WEP for the wireless security, that's when a mismatch occurs.
- What you can do to resolve the problem is to delete the wireless profile you created on the laptop. After that, let the laptop search for wireless connection available, select the correct wireless settings and it should connect.
--For example the operating system of your computer is Vista, in order to remove the wireless profile you created and reconnect to the wireless router, do the following instructions:- Go to Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet> Network and Sharing Center- Click on Manage Wireless Networks on the left panel. Delete the wireless profile then Search for available wireless networks again. Type the correct wireless security settings on your laptop
-- If you would like to know what wireless security has been setup on the router, connect the laptop or use a desktop which is wired to the router then
access
the router setup page by typing http://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 in the
address field of your browser and then press Enter. Enter admin for the router user name
and your password (or the default, password).
--After logging in. In the main menu on the left, click on Wireless
Settings, from there you can check the wireless security or you can setup wireless security from there
if you haven't done so.
Hope this helps. Have a nice day. Don't forget to vote if you find this guide helpful. Thanks.
