When I turn the camera on, the image that I am shooting does not show on the LCD monitor. When I switch the camera mode to view images I have taken previously, they show up but the new images are not showing (they are completely black) Can you help?

When I try to shoot pictures in any mode the lcd screen stays black.  I can view the image but there is a delay when shooting as well.  The camera was working fine and then one day it started to act up. The camera is less than a year old.  Help.

There are many point you may want to look at.

first, if the LCD does not display the picture you just capture, there is a possibility that the digital module of the device is broken and that it does not show or save the pictures you have recently captured.

if the pictures you recently captured can be viewed on a computer, there is a possibility that the connection between the LCD and the camera is loose. we canot say that tha issue is the LCD since it displays previoulsy captured image.

to work around the issue, it is best if you visit a local repair shop or a technician to have a look at the unit and have it repaired.

as per the cost, it will actually depend on the damage of the device. you may want to put a new camera as one of your options.

My olympus e volt 500 will not display image when in shoot mode

There is a little button on the back, marked 'info'. Press it to switch from picture view to settings view. It also operates the viewfinder.

Olympus also has a good photo editing program that is free and it allows you to edit photos and stitch pictures taken pn panoramic mode into one panoramic picture. It's called Olympus Master.

Brand new D3000 camera, but LCD Monitor stopped functioning -only get shooting info and other menu functions. Tried reset button but no good

Hello

For a Nikon D3000 all you will see in "camera" mode are shooting information and menu functions. The D3000 does not have a Live View feature where you can view the "live" image via the LCD, only through the viewfinder.

In review mode, you will be able to preview the images you have already taken, however.

Similar problems as other readers. camera turns on but no real time image on LCD screen. LCD contiues to show settings i.e. full auto mode etc. But I can view pictures already taken. Thanks

The XTi and prior EOS models have not capability to see the live image to be shoot on the screen. Only the image after taken can see on the screen. Other images also using the view mode.

If you can't review the images, eve if the display is turned off, just after they are taken, maybe the "Review time" is set to "off". Go to settings, 3th tab, Review time and set the desired setting.

Monitor does not show images in focus

Impossible. The D80 is an SLR which means there is a real shutter curtain blocking the imaging array, essentially 'blindfolding' the array. It cannot see the image until the shutter is opened. Nikon just introduced a new SLR that can do live view mode, if you want to spend a couple of grand.

Canon eos digital canon rebel xti - LCD won't work when shooting

Most DSLR cameras (like your Canon) don't have a live view - in other words, you can't "see" the image before you capture it. You must use the viewfinder.

Powershot S1 IS trouble shooting in images of lcd monitor

Try playing back pictures you know were captured properly ( either with another properly working camera or with your camera before the problem with quality has appeared ). If the image is ok in playback but 'noisy' in capture mode then the CCD sensor is faulty /on its way out. Ask Canon if they repair CCD faults on this model free of charge.

LCD Monitor on ,and the Electronic Viewfinder turned off

If you turn on the back LCD, the electronic viewfinder will remain on while in a shooting mode. There is no setting on the camera to use only the back LCD monitor while shooting. If you playback images in the Play mode, only the LCD monitor will turn on. However, if you press the Monitor button while in the Play mode, than the back LCD monitor will turn off. The image will display only in the viewfinder LCD.
