I have drivers for windows vista but they can not be installed on windows 7. I need install my router on windows 7

Check the manufacturer's website. If they don't have windows 7 drivers try the vista drivers.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers. Look for Manuals too if you need them.

To note, if you are upgrading to Windows 7 from either Windows Vista or Windows XP check before installing that your Wired/Wireless equipment on your computer will have compatible drivers for Windows 7.

Windows 7 has the option to virtualize drivers to make them work, try to install as usual but before installing right click on the installation file and in the context menu click on properties, the properties windows will show up, browse through the tabs until you get to the compatibility settings, click on the dropdown list and set the compatibility mode for vista or XP depending on the drivers click on apply and then on accept, try to install your drivers now, if Vista drivers are not installed successfully try installing XP drivers after setting the compatibility mode for the installation file to XP.

Also remember to run the drivers' installation file as administrator.

You don't actually need a driver to set it up. Just plug it into your network, then browse to its URL (likely 192.168.1.1, but could be 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.2.1). Then just follow the prompts to configure it. Hope that helps.

2.right click the driver and click on properties
3.you will have compactability,click on it
4.In the run this program,"select it as Windows Vista SP2" and then click on OK
5.Now you try to install the drivers it will install and then check for your wireless connectivity in your laptop

You might look for the latest version of the driver at the manufacturer's web site and install that version instead of the CD. If there is not a driver specifically for Win7 then I would try the Vista version. The driver interface to Windows had some changes in between XP and Vista, but not so much from Vista to Win7.
