Error #1 means unreadable disc.

This condition appears a few reasons:
- Burned disc. These players don't always like burned CD's. Try burning your discs slower (like 8x instead of 40x, yes this makes a difference) or using higher quality CD-R's. Made in Japan discs are the best (Taiyo Yuden). Yes this also makes a difference.
- Dirty or scratched disc.
- Dirty Laser. I've had really good luck with those CD cleaners. It is a CD with some small brushes on the bottom. Worth a shot.
- Deck is plain junk.

Additionally, in this lnk could find other details about fix-error-1-cd-player.html

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer ans send us your comments).

I have been frustrated by the problem of my Matrix/Yaris CD player refusing to load my burned CD with MP3s for more than a year. After reading some of the recommendations on this thread, I tried an experiment. I tried to put a burned CD filled with MP3 tunes. The unit ejected it before it even got halfway in. I then inserted a manufactured commercial music CD. The deck hesitated, fed in the CD, and began to play the disc. I hit the eject button and fed in the burned CD it had previously ejected. It took it in like a kid takes in ice cream and the music started playing. We shall see if this will be a long term solution.

2009 Toyota Yaris. My cd player was playing but when I start the car again it stop and eject the disc but didn't want to take any cd disc after that.

Car CD Players get dusty from road grime. Buy a CD Cleaning Disc and run it is a couple of times. The laser that reads the tracks is much lower power, and if it can't read the whole tracking system, it ejects the CD. The cleaning disc has little brushes that cleans the optic lenses.

1997 toyota 2.7 petrol hilux.Radio absolutely fine.3 stack CD changer not working, comes up with ERR1 message, does this mean a new cd player or can it be fixed

Hello, it sounds like the laser is faulty in the cd. These can be fixed and shouldnt cost too much. After a while, and sometimes straight away, the lasers go as they are the weakest part of the system. Your technician should have no trouble in getting the parts and repairing it as good as new. Good luck.

Cd player not working takes a long time to load, then comes up err1 and takes a long time to eject. i own a toyota yaris yrx 2007

if this happens using all your CD, you may want to try a cleaner disc inserted to the cd player. It may be just a dirty disc. If that does not work, it could be a faulty device.

2007 Toyota Yaris Stereo Won't Eject CDs

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.

After2 years cd player onmy toyta yaris stop working showiing error 1 on the display

Get a cd disc with a built in head cleaner and run it through the cd unit. It may work for you. If not it will have to be removed and serviced at a dealer

Err1 when i put cd in and it spits it out frrrrustration

If it is a CD-R, chances are your stereo is too old to play it. If it is not a CD-R, but a regular CD, then it's probably either a dirty lens (you can buy CD lens cleaners almost anywhere) or a bad CD.
