your capacitors are are bad open it up check the capacitors with any bulges in them and then go to radioshack and buy the capacitor with the same rating to replace. It is actually very simple. If it is under warranty still take it back
I just had the same problem with my Panasonic 52' A serviceman came and up date some info inside the set, took out the blue and red spots. it was covered under warrienty. TV is 3 yrs old. Try to call your local service center, that what I did. Hope this helps.
Contact sony as they have been helping customers with the blue spot issue on alot of the wega as the optical block fails causing the blue spots.Sony will cover the cost of the repair.
