My logitech webcam is messed up the color is wrong on it. it makes me look green and i tried to fix the setting but it won't work

    My logitech camera also makes me look green. i've messed with the white balance and stuff and also changed the colors of my desktop thinking that was it. but no matter what i always come off green.

    please help!

    my webcam is the same exept im purple please help i use this all the time i tried ur advice but i could not find camers settings

I had the same problem, and after spending forever looking through the camera settings, I decided to uninstall/reinstall the software. This fixed it for me! Hopefully it will help you too.

Webcams do not have a perfect system just as the regular cameras as the resolution is also low. So you can make some adjustments with the corrrect lighting as luminance is important, being low can make it look green.

Webcam only shows black & white in Windows 8
Note: I have Logitech webcams but since this is a Windows fix it will probably work with any brand that is having similar problems:
I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 8.1 and discovered that my two Logitech webcams would only display black & white (although snapshots were in color). I tried all of Logitech's advice but nothing worked. The Solution: Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the .exe file in the Logitech folder (in my case the path is (C) / Program Files (x86) / Logitech / LWS / Webcam Software / LWS.exe). Right-click the file and choose "Properties". Click on "Compatibility" and choose "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8". Restart your webcam software and it should now have color. (PS: The system may sometimes default to the original settings, so you may need to repeat the above to get your color back.)

you may have to install or update the drivers again and make sure the other driver settings (e.g. flip horizontal) all work correctly.And dont forget to check in the cam setup and try the RGB capture format.

you might a defective camera! have you tested it on another computer? if you get the same results then it is, if not then you might to look into getting the proper codecs or speak to their IT support if there is such a thing or hire a professional.

My camera quit working in skype, any suggestions in troubleshooting? the green light isnt coming on at all, it was working like 5 minutes ago
To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable, make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video.
If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the Logitech QuickCam
Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.

My logitech webcam works.. but the other person can't hear me.
Go into the messenger you are using and make sure that the Audio Settings are set to you audio card. If I could connect up with your computer I could fix it in a matter of seconds. Give it a try. Bud

My webcam shows only red
basically we use RGB color system so it contains color like red green and blue....in ur web cam settings u only increased the content of red color and u decrease the content of green and blue...so pls take ur settings and put all three colors to a same number...it means u have number from 1 to 100 and u can give the red green and blue colors up to this limit....so put green in 32 and red in 30 and blue in 32......then it will b corrected
