Projection tv tv picture stays on for about 4 minutes then i loose the picture. about a minute later the picture comes back on. Help. Is this the thermo overload or is the bulb going bad.

Sound like what happened when my lamp went out of my projection tv.

Your Lamp needs to be replaced.

Sounds like a problem with source recognition. Could have a problem with input coming into the tv such as cable connection problem, loose wires, etc. Try reseting the cable box and removing and reinstalling all of the cables in the back and the cable box.

is it flashing green? most likely the bulb.

personally i would call a tv repairman out to fix the set.you can get alot of different opinions on here about what it may or may not be but the best thing to do is call a repaiman and let them fix it

try to look at its circuit board and look for some cold solder

Rear projection hdtv, most likely damaged tubes. Don't repair this by your self get a tv repair man to do it before you injure your self.

when the set does come on do you notice any thing odd in the picture or sound of the set.

you can reset the tv to factory default settings , but before that I need more info ab manufacture date and purchase date you can find the first one on the back cover, if the tv has more than 5000 hrs of use problably the lamp, filter or fans can cause this problem, hope it helps you . let me know
