Pride Jazzy 1103 Ultra Standard Power Chair Logo
Posted on Apr 26, 2011

The right wheel seems not to be working smoothly. When I try to drive straight it veers to the right slightly, like the left wheel has more more. It is also hard for the chair to turn left because the right wheel isn't turning well. I have a narrow doorway which is difficult to get through so I often run into it on that right side. Could that be the source of the problem?

Hi Jack
Sounds Like all you need is for a technition to program you chair. They can do an adjustment to compensate the different strengths of each motor and make the chair run straight Also to improve the turning speed adjustments. Programer is a P&G PP1

Good Luck

My steering wheel on Merc C280 1995 model. While driving I can move the steering wheel slightly left to right, but the car remains straight. Then the car will veere right and then left slightly without me...

Check steering wheel nut is tight, sometimes it may run loose. If it is tighten to specs and is still happening, splines may be worn on steering wheel.

I have a 2002 dodge ram SLT 4x4. The front end end has started to make random grinding sounds that come and go. You can feel it in the brake pedal and steering wheel. It seems to get worse when turnin

Sounds like you may have wheel hub bearings wearing out..try this on a long smooth highway where you can safely swerve your truck left and right at about 50 mph..gently swerve to the left if the noise goes away then back again when going straight it is the left bearing then do the same fir the right if quiets in the turn and returns when going straight it is the right bearing.. If it does nothing then you have brake parts or drive axle problem..good luck

2004 suzuski have a loud sound when driving and get louder driving faster

This sounds similar to what was wrong with my Verona when I bought it private party. Is the ABS light on? Take your car into the shop to see if it's the wheel hub assembly (wheel bearing). Sadly, if it is the wheel bearing, a new one is pricey $$$. Good luck! :)
Additional Info: I've only had my 2004 Verona EX for a few months and it has been nothing but problems--the first being a bad wheel bearing. Check Engine light seems to be on every other week because the fuel system is too lean somewhere. It's also an oil hog. Unless you have an extended drivetrain warranty, forget getting any help from Suzuki Corporate.

Had a spin out and my traction control was on can there be damage

It sounds as if your car is out of alignment, a reputable front end shop should be able to check it for you and give you an estimate on the cost of repairs.

Steering veers to the left?

Drive slowly down the middle of a straight road, let the steering wheel go and apply the brakes. If the car wants to turn by itself check your ball joints and shocks. If the car remains straight you may have an irregular wearing tire which causes it wonder at higher speeds.
I hope this helps

Makes winding in the front end when driving straight or turning right

Hi it needs a hub bearing sounds like the left one
jack up the left side so the left wheel is off the ground and start the vehicle and spin the wheel up to about 30 mph and you should hear the same noise and if not jack up the right side and do the same
hope this helps you

1997 diesel suburban steering goes left

I doubt it's your 4x4. Most transfer case will start turning the front driveshaft, meaning that BOTH front wheels would try to turn.

Could be a brake pad/caliper locking up on your left wheel. That'll make that wheel turn slower resulting in the veering left.

Could also be a wheel bearing. However usually you'll hear a grinding noise to go along with that. And it'll pull rather consistently in that direction rather than suddenly.

Or, what first comes to mind is that your steering box is loose, or the gear inside the steering box is stripped in one spot. Or your front tie rods could be shifting or possibly ball joints. These would cause a sudden shifting/veering.

All of these things are front end related. And also very dangerous. Take it down to any alignment shop, have them put it on a lift, and diagnose immediately.

Worse case scenerio is that a front end part breaks and sends you out of control and into someone else. Please get it checked. A diesel Suburban could do a lot of damage.

Front wheel veering right (hard right)

You can take it to a bike shop.  They can re-align the wheel for you.
