None of my wireless XBox 360 controlers will connect to to my XBox 360. I have tried replacing batteries, syncing it with the system, turning my system off then on again, removing any obstructions near the XBox 360. All the troubleshooting tips I could find. The four lights just blink. When I try to sync, the system and the controler attemt to sync, but the controler just goes back to blinking after and the system shows that there are no controlers connected. This just started happening to me 30 minutes ago. They were working fine until earlier today the power cord to the XBox 360 disconected from the power brick. I know that must have had something to do with it but I don't know what to do. I tried a wired controler and that works but I need to fix this.

If the wireless controllers won't connect under any circumstances even with the Charge-and-Play Cable then you most likely have a problem with a board inside your 360, i think it's like the RF board or something, mind you, the C-P cord only forces through an electrical charge and does not force the controller and console to connect, it just works when your batteries are low, in the event that your console is faulty, you can purchase RF boards and replace them yourself (voids the warranty but takes 20 minutes) or send it into XBox HQ (gives you more warranty but takes like 6 months)

How do i reactivate the wireless controller to my xbox 360

How to Configure an Xbox Controller Fotolia.com"> configure-xbox-controller-800x800.jpg Configure you Xbox controller.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a video game console, configuring a controller requires little effort. You can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions

  1. Wired
    • 1 Connect the controller's cable to the in-line release cord. This cord prevents you from accidentally pulling the Xbox 360 along with your controller during game play.
    • 2 Insert the in-line release cord's USB plug into the USB port on the front of the console.
    • 3 Turn on the console to activate the controller automatically.
    Wireless
    • 1 Insert batteries in your wireless controller, if necessary.
    • 2 Hold down the "Guide" button on the controller.
    • 3 Push the Xbox 360's "Connect" button, located on the front of the console.
    • 4 Push the controller's "Connect" button to sync it with the Xbox 360.

My xbox 360 wireless controller will not connect to my xbox 360 console even when i press the button that scans for the pad but it still turns on the xbox 360 when you press the middle button on the pad

Turn off both the console and the controller, then follow these steps:
  1. Turn on both the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and the Xbox 360 console.
  2. On the console, press the connect button. (to the immediate right of the memory card slot on the console)
  3. On the controller, press the connect button. (Look on top of the controller for a small button.)
  4. The green lights that surround the Guide button on the controller and the power button on the console spin and flash when the controller is being connected to the console. After the controller is connected, a single green light illuminates on the controller and on the console to show you which quadrant the controller is connected to.

My wireless xbox 360 controller is turned on and connected, and when I am on the main screen of my game it works, but when I start playing I can't do a thing, including pressing start.

It sounds as if the xbox it self is locking up. If that is the case than you will need to contact Microsoft directly regarding the issue. I have also listed the steps to trouble shoot the controller as well.

1. Sync system first (By pressing the sync button on the system)
2. Right after you hit the sync button on the system, hit the button on the controller

Try replacing the battery's and or rechargeable battery for the controller. Repeat the sync process above.

Try another controller with your xbox or try your controller with a different xbox. Repeat sync process above.

If another controller works with your system than that would indicate that there is an issues with your xbox controller.

If your controller works with another xbox and no other controllers work with your xbox than there is a issue with your console.

For issues related to the xbox I would suggest contact xbox directly by calling 1800 my xbox.

If possible please rate the solution I have posted.

Wireless controler won,t connect to consol

I'm sure you have tried most of these steps but I'm going to list them any way. So we have a complete picture of the trouble shooting process.

Repeat sync process above of course.

If another controller works with your system than that would indicate that there is an issues with your xbox controller.

If your controller works with another xbox and no other controllers work with your xbox than there is a issue with your console.

For issues related to the xbox I would suggest contact xbox directly by calling 1800 my xbox.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.

Your controllers are not synced to your xbox 360 yet every wireless controller can be played on any system it just has to be synced but once you sync it to another system the system b4 is no longer synced so all you have to do is press the xbox home button on your controller and instruments then press the small circular button on the right of memory unit b if you have any problems on trying to do this msg my profile i hope this helps you.

Xbox 360 wireless contoller won't sync with game console

If you're using an HDMI connection between the Xbox 360 and the TV, it might be that. When using HDMI, the Xbox won't boot up until it knows what the TV is capable of displaying. Although the controller will turn the console on, it won't sync with the console -- and it's not a controller or console problem, but just a symptom of the fact that the Xbox won't get to the point where controllers will sync until it can properly communicate with the TV. I'd recommend turning off the TV and the Xbox, disconnecting the HDMI cable and re-connecting it after making sure the contacts are clean. Then turn the Xbox back on first; you'll likely to see the same behavior. Finally, turn the TV back on. With it being switched back into HDMI mode, it just might "kick-start" the Xbox into a good communication link across HDMI. Hope that helps.

Xbox 360 wireless controller not connecting.

it sounds like your controller keeps losing sync with the 360.

- turn them both off
- turn on the 360 with the power button on the console
- wait for it to start up, then press the sync button next to the usb flap on front.
- then press the sync button on the controller (by the recharge connection slot)

That should reset it.
