I have a belkin wireless router I have one laptop connected to it now I want to connect another laptop to it but I forgot the password how can I find it?

If you are asking what the default credentials are to log into the admin panel of the router, then the options are below.

Default usernames: admin, Admin, [blank]
Default passwords: admin, password, [blank]

If you are asking for the Wi-Fi password, that is unique to the user who initially set it up. You can reset the router but following the manufacturer instructions and holding the reset button down in the back. This will erase all settings on the router.

To reset the Belkin back to the default settings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button.

Logon to your router from your computer using your browser and going to http://192.168.1.2/. If it wants a username, the default username is blank and the default password is either blank or "password".


The Belkin management tool will come up. From there, go into your security and look to see if your passphrase is visible. If it is, you're good to go. If not, you can change it on that page save it and close out.
Don't forget to change the passphrase on any wireless devices you are using connected to the Belkin wireless router.

What is the brand of the router your using? This information will be from the router that you have. Use a wired connection from the router,check your default gateway (ipconfig) and type that numbers in your address bar. You will be able to access your set-up page, look for wireless tab and look for wireless security. You will see there your WEP key.

I don't know the model of your router this would be very helpful. Most routers have a reset button on the back of the router. This will reset your router back to factory default settings.This will reset the pasword to default usually "admin". You will need to set up your router all over again. If you are meaning the password to connect wirelessly then just reset the router by pressing small reset button. Then us the password/key on router to connect.

If you are meaning ur password to get router to go online you will need to contact your ips for that.
