F6 typically doesnt indicate an error. This is usually a programming code that tells you spa to filter every 12 hours.

If it is a FLo code that just looks like an F6, then you need to either replace the filter, replace the flow switch , or make sure the pump is pushing enough water.

What does error code F6 mean

The meaning of error code F6 can vary depending on the brand and model of the washing machine. Here are some possible explanations for F6 error codes on different brands:
  • Whirlpool: F6 error code on Whirlpool washing machines typically indicates a problem with the motor drive tachometer, which measures the motor's speed. This can be caused by faulty wiring or a failed motor control board.
  • Kenmore: On Kenmore washing machines, F6 error code can indicate a problem with the motor or motor control board. This can cause the washing machine to not spin or agitate properly.
  • Maytag: F6 error code on Maytag washing machines can be caused by a problem with the communication between the central control unit and the motor control board. This can cause the washing machine to not start or complete a cycle.
  • LG: On LG washing machines, F6 error code can indicate a problem with the motor or motor control board, or a communication error between the main control board and the motor control board.
It's important to consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for more specific information and troubleshooting steps based on your specific model and error code.

How to replace air controller topside

If you need to replace the control panel altogether, there are a few things you should know beforehand. Before you purchase a new panel, make sure it's compatible with your existing spa control pack. There is often a part number on the existing top side panel when you pull it out of the housing. A sticker is typically on the side indicating a part number from the manufacturer. Otherwise, get the number for your spa control pack and call the manufacturer to find out which top side panel will work for you.

Replacing a topside control panel is a fairly simple process. First, turn off the power to the unit. Remove the spa access panel and take the cover off of the control box and unplug the wire that goes form the topside panel to the circuit board. Gently remove the topside control panel. Remove the plastic from the self-stick backing of the topside controller. Place the topside controller in the place of the previous one. Plug in the topside wire to the circuit board and power back up the spa to test the function of the new unit.

Something seems to be wrong with my pump in my spa.

A loud, grinding, screaming, or screeching pump motor, will not show up on your Pumps Control Panel, with a fault code. Your bearings in the motor, are shot. And you will need to replace them, or the motor.
2nd possible problem - sorry : (
if nothing is displaying on your topside control panel, then your topside Control Panel appears to be bad, or the fuse that operates it has been blown. If there is a display in the readable part of the panel, but you have no access to make anything work, then you have some dead buttons, and once again you have a bad topside control panel.

Sparform hot tub blower won't turn off

When an appliance will not turn off, no matter what you press on the control panel, you have either a non responding (dead button) topside control panel, or your topside panel did receive the message to turn it off and the circuit board is not responding.
  • If you have some kind of indicator light when you press your Jet/pump button, if the topside panel is operational and does actually receive your request to either turn on or off an appliance, an indicator will appear - either a light or icon.
    • If one does appear when button pressed, then dis-appears when pressed, that means your panel is good - as it is responding to the pressing of the associated button.
      • Bad circuit board
    • If nothing appears when you press the button, no lights or icons - indication of topside receiving your request, then you you have a dead button.
      • Bad Topside Control Panel

How do you turn a balboa spa on?

FYI...
Balboa does not make spas, just control systems.
but that is enough info to begin a troubleshoot process...
  • do you have anything displaying on topside control panel?
  • Fault codes?
  • When you say no power after connection to circuit what do you mean exactly?
  • Have you checked for burned system fuse?

I just bought an old spa from someone and the control panel is not turning on. It was rebuilt a while back and according to the original owner it was working, and when I drained it it appeared it was being...

If you are SURE there is correct power up to the spa pack you need to check to see that the topside control is plugged into the board.
if it is plugged in, it is either the 24volt transformer supplying the topside control, or the topside control is failed.
Did you hook up the hot tub?
Most common cause of topside complete failure is connecting to an improper power supply. This will immediately fry the transformer, and also maybe the topside control. It you are luck there would be a small 2 amp fuse next to the transformer.
If the whole board is without power, but you know power is going into it, it could be the main 50 amp fuse, which is usually white and about 1.25" long

Marquis Hot Tub, Instrument Panels (Balboa Instruments main and side auxillary) do not display the LED read out. Replaced main control panel twice, replaced 250 W. 3/10 fuse.

The topside controls aren't fused so the fuses wont be the cause.

It can only be either the PCB, the topside controls, or a bad connection at fault. Check that they are plugged in correctly, make sure that the PCB is configured correctly for your topside controls.

It's rare for both the main and auxilary topside controls to fail. You can try plugging in another main topside control without fully installing it... at least you can then return it (ask whether or not return are accepted, I don't personally accept any returns if parts are specially ordered) if it doesn't cure the problem.

Ian.
