The socket of your motherboard is PPGA478. So any CPU supporting that socket should work. I would recommend the T7300 which has a price-performance value http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=29760

Processor upgrade acer aspire 5335-2257

notebook processors are almost always embedded. That means they are soldered directly on the motherboard. It would be highly unlikely that you would be able to accomplish this task.

Can i upgrade my upgrade my laptops processor?

Computers are designed in different configurations to do different tasks, however system boards, processors, memory have to be compatible with each other. I have never heard of one upgrading a processer as they are already built to work at optimum given the technology at the time.

I would like to upgrade my Acer Aspire 4315 PC Notebook it has celeron processor 1.73ghz 533mhz fsb 2.53gb ram running on win xp pro what dual core processor can this laptop take?

Well most modern laptops cannot not be upgraded in this manner because the processors are hard soldered on the motherboards. Even if you have a removable type processor the newer dual cores will not be compatible with your type of motherboard.

Compatible upgrade processor for intel pentium

The E5200 would be a nice upgrade. It retails on Newegg.com for 65-69.00 and usually has free shipping. And if you have a compatible motherboard and purchase a nice heatsink, it overclocks very nicely.

Re aspire 7104 being upgraded to duo core processor

No it cant be updated

Your acer aspire is based on the 910GML chipset

The Mobile Intel® 910GML Express chipset is optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processor.

Here you can compare the 910gml chipset and 945 which is used by the core 2 duo.

http://compare.intel.com/pcc/showchart.aspx?mmID=22210,7419&familyID=7&culture=en-US

As you can see on the page there are key difrences between the chipsets other runs on ddr2, yours on ddr. the FSB support is 400 on yours and 533 / 667 on the 945.

also you can see the supported processor familys right there.

you can look for a
Intel® Celeron® M processor,
Intel® Celeron® M processor Ultra Low Voltage (ULV)

Upgrade cpu with maximum FSB of 400MHz
