I unplugged my USB before it was finished ejecting, and now when i plug it in neither my mac nor my PC recognize it, as in in it doesn't light up or even register that it's plugged in at all. It's as...

There are several reason why your flash drive is not working. You can try this and see if it will work:
STEP 1 - Connect the Cruzer to the PC

If you receive a "USB Device Not Recognized" error on the computer, the flash drive is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

STEP 2 - Check under Device Manager
1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage.

2. Click Device Manager on the left pane.

NOTE: The Cruzer might show up under several places under Device Manager such as:
1. Disk Drives
2. DVD/CD-ROM drives
3. Universal Serial Bus controls as USB Mass Storage.

If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers.

STEP 3 - Refresh the drivers
1. Right-click on the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall.

2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.

STEP 4 - Verify if the flash drive is detected
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Look for the Cruzer under devices with removable storage.

Primary hard drive 0 not found

Hello

OK, this message means that the system did not detect the HDD. Here is a couple of things you can try.

Firstly, open the unit up, make sure the that data and power cables is firmly plugged into the drive.

If this does not work, listen at start up if you can hear the drive spinning up, if not, the circuit board on the drive is blown.

Also, if you hear a clicking noise coming from the drive, this is not good at all....

Let me know what happens.

Kind regards
Andrea

Hello my hard drive quit working. It say it working properly but won;t show up on my computer can u help

Hello Klpook, Hi, 1. scan your PC with an antivirus software, if the action failed to work, 2. use another PC to check if your Hard drive is good. if the other PC failed to detect you hard drive. 3. Use Hard drive utilities, such as Disk manager for Western Digital to diagnose your HD. If by chance no positive work is done. Your drive is bad.

I have a constant flashing green light and computer wont detect it

First, try connecting the external drive to another computer. If the second computer fails to detect it, chances are that the housing or, the drive inside have failed. Determining this requires a basic knowledge of external drives. If however the drive is rckognized the the second computer, turn off the first computer and strt it up again (not restart). Then plug your external drive to a usb port directly (not to a hub) and, it should be detected.

Can't detect my drive

It could need a power adapter if it cannot draw enough from your usb port. I would try another port on the back of your PC.

Master hard disk s,m,a.r.t.status bad, backup and replace

A failure message from the SMART system of this nature indicates that a catastrophic hard drive failure could be imminent. Without delay, back up ANY data you want to keep. This error isn't going to go away, and is being reported by the drive controller.

Whilever you can access the drive, move any data you want onto another media (such as DVD or external USB hard drive) because chances are it's not going to work much longer. You need to look at buying a new hard drive as soon as you possibly can, and migrating the data to it.

Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will be able to backup your data to another media.
