If the power supply
LED continues to blink:
- Connect the power supply to a different outlet (or instead of connecting to a power strip, connect directly to an outlet in the wall).
- If the power supply continues to blink after changing outlets, this indicates that the power supply is defective and needs to be replaced.

When your drive is in RAW format, the best thing you can do is try to
recover the files and then get the hard drive replaced. I would
recommend trying the trial version of this program:
http://www.recovermyfiles.com
If that doesn't work, let me know, and I'll see if I can come up with another way to solve the problem
I:\ is not accessible the file or dir.is corrupted and unreadable
Hi and thanks for writing back. I found that since the drive turned to a raw that windows will not read it.I don't know why it turned from ntfs to raw but it did. so I downloaded the O&O file recovery trial ver.to see if I could recover the pics. and movies. It took 5 hrs. to run and it recoverd everything.now I have to buy the software. but I know it is still all there.this software will even recover reformatted drives.Anybody that gets the same error mess. look to see if your file system has changed. If so it looks like recovery software is the only way to go.I have other good info on this and other maxtor hdd I will check back on post and write if you have sim.probs.
What does blinking green light on Maxtor 3200 mean?
Typically, if your seeing that green light, it means you don't have enough power from your power supply. You may need to disconnect some of the other components for the drive to boot up. Ultimately, if you want to continue using the new drive, you'll need to replace out the power supply with a larger one.
Good Luck
Maxtor external hard drive not working how can
Hi,
If the drive is not working you have a few options. First, head to your local PC shop and have the techs take the hard drive out of the enclosure and test it. If the drive itself is still working have the techs put it in a new enclosure and make another copy of you files ASAP. If it's a failed drive then you will need the help of a pro, in this case reply back with your location(Country, State and City) and I will refer you to a pro in your region who can help get your files back.
Hope this helps FixYa,
Chris
