The projector turns on, green 'ready' lamp and red 'lamp' lights are lit, lamp replace and warning temp remain unlit. Their is no projected light from the lamp and the only option is to press ON-OFF again to cycle through a cool down and reset to the above description. Any ideas?

Hey zrscott388, did you end up replacing the bulb and did that fix it? My Z1 is doing the same thing. I hate to spend 300-400 on a bulb and it doesn't work. The Z5 is going for 1100 new on Ebay. I rather do that than waste money. Please let me know.

With power available at the projector and the lamp off (projector off) - hold the input button on and press the power button on and hold for 5 secs. This will reset the lamp timer to zero.

I wish they could have stuck this in the operators manual.

I had the same problem. There is an internal reset button just above the lamp that needs to be reset. You have to take the cover off, which would void your warrantee, but it's quite easy. My lamp only had 660 hrs, and I bought a new one too. So now I have an extra. My guess is that my filter was getting clogged causing an overheating situation and tripping this reset button which I'm guessing is a heat sensor.

reason for fan spinning at high speed after shutdown is to cool down the projector after it has been on
you will feel hot air from exhaust as this is taking the heat away from the lamp, where all the heat is generated
if it shuts down after 20 mins either the projector is blocked, maybe, a fan is not running, filter blocked, or the motherboard is now u/s
