Songs skip Certain songs on my ipod will only play the first few seconds and then move onto the next song. It shows the full length of the song, but when you try to listen or fastforward through it it just changes. its only on some songs, but seems to stay with them even if you go back to it later. Anyone know if this is to do with the ipod, or the music?

maybe they got corrupted try putting them on the music player again or try getting the same songs but diff versions of the file and you could try last to convert the songs to a diff format then put them on the player if its the the same songs on both the players that wont play then its the songs and not the player
Do you mean it plays a few seconds then skips onto the next song? If that is the case then most likely you have "Intro" play set which only plays a few seconds as a introduction then skips to the next time.
To fix this, during music playback, press the [menu] button, then there should be an option there to change it from "Intro" to "NORMAL" instead.
Try converting the songs into a different format because the format that the song is in might not completely be played on the ipod. Right click on the song and click on convert to mp3. Then try transferring the mp3 format song onto the ipod and it should play right then.
Have you tried holding the select (center) and menu buttons together? This will completely reset your iPod to its factory settings, whereupon you can plug it into your computer and sync your songs back.
I'd recommend restoring the firmware to the latest version as well, even if you had the most current version installed, as this will usually aid with these kinds of software-induced problems.
