80G Ipod Classic skips songs

I have purchased songs from the Itunes music store which play just fine on my computer, but stop playing partially through the song (usually around 27 seconds) on my Ipod and then goes to the next song. The rest of the song is there, because if I scroll past that time it usually plays longer.

How do I fix this?

I-pod classic plays some songs but not all of them. It will sip through songs and play the ones that it can play. I reseted it but nothing happened.

    Thanks,

I bought Skin and Bones from iTunes and the songs play fine in iTunes on my macbook, but when I drop them on my 30GB video iPod it always skips about half of the songs. After song 2 it skips to song 7, then skips 8, plays 9, jumps to 13 and finishes ok after that.

I tried deleting the songs from my ipod and then re-syncing them. The same songs get skipped.

Then I reset my iPod... same result.

Then I restored my iPod and resynced just the Foo Fighters and it still skips the same songs. I've reported the problem with Apple.

I have the same problem. Is it because i copied from my brother. I've done that with all my songs though, that is the only one that doesn't play.

Try converting the songs into a different format because the format that the song is in might not completely be played on the ipod. Right click on the song and click on convert to mp3. Then try transferring the mp3 format song onto the ipod and it should play right then.

Itunes wot connect to ipod also ipod plays music but when i try to skip songs it freezes for about 10 sec then it plays again.

Try connecting to another computer's iTunes. If the computer recongnizes it, it could mean that your computer's USB ports are malfunctioning.

My Ipod classic 80G has stopped playing music. what happens is after I select and then press play it will have the play sign on the top, but the song wont starta and after a few moments it then starts to...

Make sure that you got all of your songs off of itunes, or that they have been converted through itunes correctly. This is caused by songs being the wrong format, or that the song itself is corrupted. Try restoring the unit through itunes, and loading the songs back on. If you are running with your unit while trying to listen music this can also cause the unit to freeze up when playing a song. Any type of continuous motion can cause your ipod to not play songs. This is because the ipod has a hard drive inside of it, and when you move alot with a hard drive it cant read correctly. If you want to run with your unit, i would suggest getting a flash drive based mp3 player (ie itouch). If you have any further questions feel free to contact www.wiredextreme.com.

Computer says songs are there iPod says there not

your ipod will not function properly with windows media player. it may play the music but it won;t get functionality from the ipod.
You have to use iTunes to get your ipod straightened out. Once you mount it on iTunes you will see the music and be able to add music and delete music.

IPod Errors

Distinct clicking, right? Your hard drive is about to crash completely. Other than the ticking, your problems are probably because the hard drive is not giving out the information it needs to because it can't. You need either a new Hard drive or a new player. once you get it all of you problems should go away.

IPOD mini won't play purchased music unless 100% charged

I've called Apple support on this before. They told me to make sure that the Ipod is set for Manually manage music in the Ipod settings of ITunes. You should restore all software in your IPod to factory settings before doing this.

My ipod won't play songs I bought from itunes, and it won't let me download new ones.

Unfortunately, if you did not back up your music, the songs cannot be recovered. iTunes allows for one download of a song purchased.
