Try to put an antenna to your appliance maybe the problem is the setting or no signal receive... You can set your player into radio mode and try to tune in or adjust the tuner to locate a good frequency signal for radio..
Usually, these units have no mains fuse. If you removed the outer cabinet cover, you will see if a fuse is present. if there is none, I doubt the unit is worth the repair cost.
Make sure the unit is on and set to either radio or cd. It is self contained so no wire should be needed, if you've read all the directions and still can't come up with a solution the unit may be faulty.
