From the specs I have read, it doesn't look like your HU support the GPS system. Here is the link where the specs are:

Far as using the pendrive, thumb drive etc., most mp3 players with usb will support mp3 from these types of devices.

I have a yamaha ypt-400 and i want to record what im playing, how do i do that?

The easiest way to record what you're playing in your ypt-400 is through a computer. There is a feature in it called "USB Connectivity" which allows you to play your songs in your computer and same time allows you to download songs from the internet. Once connected, you can create a folder in your computer storing all the songs you played in your ypt-400 . Once it is stored, you can replay those songs in your computer via winamp or media player. To connect to the computer you need a USB cable that will allow you to plug it to the USB port of your YPT-400 and to the USB port of your computer. You can buy this cable from any store that supplies electronic gadgets and accessories. One more thing, you can even email those songs to your friends. Try it.

My MP3 do not working properly..which..when i play a song..then sometime..the device suddenly stop playing the music and show the display of USB accessing...at that time i do not plug the device in USB...

Go through your owners manual, depending on the type of Mp3 player there should be a system reset button. You will need to do this because it trying to play a song and shutting down is a good sign of a virus.

Hi, myself chetna i am having compaq laptop, and the problem is this: whenever i connect my pendrive, my system get hung-up, it stops working, then i abruptly turn off it, and then again start it, somebody...

HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
well what can that be , many things
pendrive (a usb port memory stick, and not real DRIVE?)

test it on other pc yet. why not? its failing test it.
many USB mem stick fail due to corrupted files on it.
(removing it incorrectly cause that)

what OS? , you posted with NO OS Stated, at all. XP?
all ports fail on this Laptop?
do other USB sticks fail....>? or USB keyboards, or mice?

the HP OS restore features started about year 2006
called the F11 recovery mode. (that?)
you said.
"but window formatting does not make it work,"
what does that mean, by what means? who done?
using what media or F11 magic key.?

I say the PC is XP? and we all know XP has Horrible
USB support, and NOW worse MS shut down XP servers
for the USB devices, (and more) so will hang when
doing PnP "plug and Pray" driver from there.
XP is DEAD, you do know that right? XP and VISTA are
now DEAD.

recap:
1: the Stick fails on all USB ports.
2: the stick fails in othe PCs
3: running XP and expecting things to work. HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAH (the endless dream?)

my XP works on one PC, but I had to make sure I had all drivers perfect , from each chip maker,
MS and HP dont have them so takes hard work

4: is the Device manager in control panel clear of al errors"

this PC is 10 years old
HP retired it, official
XP is retired at HP and MS.
that PC came new with F11 magic recover key.

the HP manual (covers XP and VISTA )
is still there, will be deleted soon... hint hint..

I have a jvc kd-g720 stereo in my car and when I plug my iPod into the usb port it says "do not disconnect" and even though i have about 2,000 songs on my iPod the stereo will only play the same 49 ones in...

if you are plugging your ipod into the usb port of the kd-g720 it won't play all your songs because this particular radio only plays mp3s through the usb port. ipods play both mp3s and mp4s. so those 49 songs you're hearing are the mp3s on your ipod. in order to play all the songs on your ipod you must buy the cord that plugs in the back of the radio that will connect to your ipod. sorry for the bad news man. i had the same thing happen to me.

TRANSCEND PEN DRIVE WHEN CONNECTED TO THE USB PORT POP-UP MENU DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE SCREEN PLS REPLY

There are two possible reasons either your pen drive is not functioning or the auto play is disabled.

First of all check whether the Pen Drive is listed on my computer as a removable drive. If so then do the following steps:

1) right click on the properties and select "Auto play" tab.
2) On the dropdown choose mixed content.
3) Under "Actions" select "prompt me each time to choose an action" button.
4) Apply and OK

Now remove your Pendrive and reconnect.
This should solve your problem.

If your Pendrive doesnt show up on my computer there can be two reasons. either the USB port you are connecting is faulty . try a different USB port. or your pendrive is faulty which needs replacement....

Usb port ceases to work when any device connected to second port

As you stated the device works in one slot but not the other , tells you there is problem with that usb port , don't use those ports , best thing to do is purchase a PCI USB card if you need more USB ports .
