look at the install diagram(wiring codes) that came with the unit. if it has a wire that's designated for the parking brake (allowing you to only watch dvds while brake is engage) take that wire and instead of hooking it up to the parking brake, ground it or put an in-line switch between wire and ground so you can turn that function on and off. warning!!! watching while driving is illegal in most states

Hi,i will suggest you retrace your steps back, particularly the wiring that leads to the speakers and ensure you are following he installation guide correctly,you are probably missing something along the line,if you need an installation guide to help you,please let me know.

there is no work around for the code, it is a security code so it is not published on the internet, only an authorized repair station will have a way to unlock the unit, this means you must pull it out.
