Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you found this helpful.

Regards
Andrea

I trust you gave Steven_Harby the correct information after jumping on my disconnect?

I actually asked the user if he wants to reconnect to you TWICE. SO jumping on the chat is actually not the case. If you have a problem, contact Lauren.

It was a simple question. Did you or didn't you? I only ask because in over 5000 solutions, I don't see any for DVD players or TVs.

Getting an error code E 45

Hi,
Error 45 in your camera clearly indicates it is related to a lens issue. Something has caused the lens to jam or stop working. When it does you get the E45 error you have to update the firmware and the error should go away.
Thank you !!

I have kodak ls443 get error message camera error e45 and it says see users guide. i have looked in users guide but cannot find andy info re error e45

Hello

Firstly, at the link below you can download a updated softcopy of the manual for free.

http://www.retrevo.com/s/Kodak-LS443-Digital-Cameras-review-manual/id/200dj378/t/1-2/

As for the error code you are getting, "error 45" is a lens related problem of LS443.

If the lens is not stuck, you may try to download the firmware from the Kodak site and update the one in your camera.

As the lens is already stuck, there is no choice except to send the camera back to Kodak for servicing.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction.

Kind regards
Andrea

Error #B03

According to the manual(page 52 on this site, and around 45 in the manual itself), when ever such an error repeatedly apears, you must contact a Kodak rep. Since its batteries that bring up this message i would suggest the obvious of changing batteries, even if new. sounds like a pickle... you can also try to disconnect everything from the camera(cards cables batteries etc) and leave it with all hatches open in a dry dark place for a couple of days, let the camera sit in the corner and get a grip on itself ;] this should reset it and sometimes solves the problem. Good luck in any case, hope it works out...
