Window 7 printer driver - Epson FX 1170 Matrix Printer

My dear friend, observe computer peripherals compatibility. If you are telling that your printer is working on windows xp that means the printer designed only for windows xp but some printer right now is supported with different operating system. Anyway download a printer driver for windows 7 if it has and install the software first and plug the printer after installing the software. Have a nice day!

I checked it and found that it is compatible with Window 7.

click on your printer and then select the operating system and then download HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers not the Basic Drives.


Note:-To check whether is Win 7 32bit or window 7 64bit

start>>right click on computer>>left click on properties>>now you see whether is 32bit or 64 bit operating system.

According to the Hewlett-Packard support website, DOWNLOAD the DeskJet 3600 Series driver for Windows 7. It is equal to the USB driver for the DeskJet 3325. At the present time, the Deskjet 3600 Driver is available thru WINDOWS UPDATE ONLY. Enable WINDOWS UPDATE on your Windows 7 PC and manually download this driver.
At this time, a full feature Windows 7 driver solution is not available for your product.However, a compatible print driver solution for your product is included with the Windows 7 operating system. There is no need to download any additional software. Follow the steps in this document to identify the print driver that is compatible with the product, install the driver, and then configure it in Windows 7. When this driver is installed, you can use the basic functions of the product.

Follow these steps to install the compatible driver in Windows 7.

1. Make sure that the USB cable is not connected to the product. If the USB cable is connected to the product, disconnect it.
2. From the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (), and then click Devices and Printers. The Devices and Printers window opens.
3. Click Add a printer. The Add Printer window opens.

10. In the message window, click Finished.
11. Connect the USB cable to the product, and connect the USB cable to the computer. A Device driver software was not successfully installed window opens.
12. Click Close () to close the window.

Follow these steps to configure the installed driver.

1. In the Devices and Printers window, right-click the name of the product and then click Printer Properties. The Printer Properties window opens.
2. Click the Ports tab.
3. Click the drop down menu, and then change the port from LPT1 to USB or DOT4.

NOTE: If there is more than one USB/DOT4 port available, select the USB/DOT4 port with the highest port number. To see the full port name, widen the ports row in the Properties dialog box by placing the cursor over the vertical line between Port and Description, and then click and hold the mouse button. Move the mouse to the right until the port name is visible.
4. Click OK.

Not work you need to find the windows 7 printer driver for it and it could be a job trying to find one as they are still selling there printers with xp drivers only, sorry.

The drivers on your old OS can run on windows 7. Or you may download video, sound and other drivers compatible with windows 7.

Windows 7 should be able to use Vista or XP drivers, but you should have no trouble downloading Win7 drivers:

HP doesn't have the drivers available for windows 7 cause its only in Beta and they won't have it until windows 7 becomes official and available in stores. The only chance would be if you go into the control panel and then add printers. See if in there it has your make and model of your printer. If it doesn't then try a printer that is similar and it might install it. If you still can't get it to install then you'll have to wait for HP to come out with a driver for windows 7.
