SOURCE: Xbox 360 - Guitar Hero Aerosmith

That is a very common problem and here is a step by step solution. Press the little button on the Xbox 360 with a wireless sign on it. It's on the front in between the memory card slots and the power button.

After you've done that the Xbox lights should go like around in circles.

Hold the button with the same picture on it on the Guitar controller its on the edge near the LAN port and microphone port

Then they should sync Happy Gaming to you.

SOURCE: i need a wireless receiver for guitar hero III, legends of rock

You can use any of the Guitar Hero Wireless guitars. The best I think is the one that is bundled with the World Tour version, has a smoother action (retails around £44.99 but check bundle costs first).
It has slider bar that isnt used in Guitar Hero 3, but will be better if you decide any of the future releases of guitar hero coming out later in year.
Hope that helps?

When my son tries to play his guitar all the lights are flashing on it and we cant figure out how to get it working..

The flashing lights on the controller mean the guitar is not connecting to the wireless usb dongle connected to the PS3.

1. Verify that the wireless box is plugged in firmly to the usb port on the front of the PS3.

2. If that doesn't work, look on the wireless usb dongle for the guitar hero guitar controller. (It should be a black box with the guitar hero logo on it. You will find a small push button on the dongle. (Make sure your PS3 is turned on, though your guitar hero game does not have to be open. It may be a good idea to have the game running, so you can test your guitar or make sure it is really working). Press and hold the button on the wireless usb dongle for a few seconds. Five seconds should be enough. Doing this attempts to re-connect the dongle and the controller. You will know when the connection is good when the red lights on the controller go steady, as well as the LED on the small button you pressed on the wireless usb dongle. If either lights continue to blink, there is a connection problem still.

3. Try changing the batteries in the guitar controller. Weak batteries tend to cause connection issues.

4. Test the wireless usb dongle and controller with another PS3. This will rule out an issue with your PS3 system.

5. If the problem still occurs on another PS3, the wireless dongle may have gone bad. (This does happen rarely.) Replacements are cheap to find on ebay

XBOX 360 wireless guitar doesnt connect to system & dont know why

Power on your Xbox console and allow it to load to the Xbox dashboard.

Press the green Xbox controller on the guitar. All four lights surrounding the button should start flashing.

Press the connect button on your Xbox console (It's next to the Memory Card #2 slot).

Press the wireless button on the "Guitar Hero 3" guitar (Look for the on the bottom of the guitar).

Wait for the four lights to stop flashing, with one light becoming a solid green. Your air guitar should now be connected remotely to the Xbox.

Guitar Hero - the guitar plays on its own

Yes.

Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically. Check for wireless devices like cell phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.

Recalibrate the sensor after, make sure the connections are tight.

Now go get that 5 star on "Through the Fire and Flames"!

Guitar hero wireless guitar with PS2, guitar sync light seems to flash normally, but the receiver on the PS2 seems completly dead, can we change just the receiver part ?

Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.

Guitar not connecting

Try turning off your guitar and pushing and holding the button on the receiver in for 5 to 10 secs. Turn on guitar and they should be sync'd. If that doesn't work, turn off PS2 disconnect from power supply for a minute or so, plug everything back in and sync the receiver and the guitar again.
