The scanner bulb assembly is unable to come to its starting position. this assembly rides on a metal spindle, rub some oil on it so that the slide becomes smoother. to reach it you will first have to remove the glass. turn the scanner upside down & prise it open with a flat screwdriver applying pressure at the rear end to separate the top & bottom half.

I too have this problem and I have found how to correct it. It worked for me and hopfully it will work for you and others. Turn off your printer. Open the scanner cover. Turn your computer back on. That is what I did and it fixed it for me for now. Please send me an E-Mail if it fixed it for you. I have a sneaky suspecion that it just started working again and me opening the scanner cover was not the fix. Thanks, Wayne

Print cartridge in right stall not supported.

My scanner will not work it keeps saying scan options are not installed. I deleated the program and reinstalled it but no luck. Help It is a HP PSC 2410 photosmart all in one printer

In addition to the driver, you need to install the utility program as well.
Click on the link given below:

From the menu on the left side select " Software and Driver downloads" Click
Choose the O/S
Download the utility and install

Hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one...cannot make scanner work

I have the same PSC 2410 and contacted HP the print software is included in Leopard 10.5 but the scan is not. They have "no" plans on producing software and went as far as to recommend third party scanner software to make it work.

Busy or hourglass object appears in screen. Won't work

If there still pending job to print. Cancel all printing job until all printing job is clear. Then power off the printer and then power on again to refresh its print que.
