This is a tricky problem, If you are saying your monitor screen is upside down. Using your mouse right click any where on the desktop and chose properties, on the properties window chose settings and look on this tab (now every video card is a bit different) But look for an orientation tab and click the button for normal or rotate 180 degs. Due to it being upside down the mouse will work backwards up is down sort of thing it may take a try or two, or turn your monitor so you can see the words.

Key Shortcut for rotating screen

There have been a few posts about some peoples screens randomly rotating and there is generally two ways to fix it. One is by your graphics properties but a much easier way (and which is how it occurs during some game play) by pushing CTRL, ALT and a directional key all at once. Each key will change to it's own direction.

As CTRL and ALT are heavily used in games some people may experience this.

Thanks.

My acer screen is sideways. how do i fix it?

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures. Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options. For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation
Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop. Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time. Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation. Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation. b> Windows 7 Monitor Orientation b> Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel. Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column. When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate. Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference. Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window. Click "OK" to finish.

My baby has turned the screen on my samsung r519. How do I rotate it back?

Usually a combination of key presses like CTRL ALT UP_ARROW
Otherwise will be someting like the following (depends on your video card)Right click on your desk top. Go to Graphics Options, Graphics Properties, and then click on the Rotation Tab. Uncheck the "Enable Rotation" Box. What I believe happened is that your daughter pressed a certain combination of keys, known as "Hot Keys." After you fix your rotation, you may want to disable hot keys to prevent this from happenening again.

Key combinations to rotate screen

Deirdre,

The key combination to rotate the screen back to normal is: Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow

If you use Ctrl+Alt+Arrow keys - whichever arrow key you press is the direction that the screen should rotate.

Hope that helps!
