I get the error 80010018 when I update the system of my PSP

ok i got it your system configuration is incorrect just do that go to system setting and check out the configuration setting carefully and it will be done.

I think that update is for the psp slim not the psp fat and as an added bonus you can downgrade the firmware for homebrew applications that adds more functionality such as the infared can be used as a remote on the psp

I have updated my psp and it cums up system configuration error when i try o activate the update it how can i fix it ??
if you are using a psp that is running on a custom firmware, that might be the problem but on the other hand, you could as well make a back-up of your data on your psp and then download a fresh copy of the update data of the psp from the internet via your computer and follow the procedures given on the website.

Psp connection...
I dont have ps3, but are you trying to connect thru wifi? if you have a usb cable, i always found it best to download the update off the psp website and transfer it to your psp, then run the update off it. that would be my suggestion, i think you can also connect your psp to your ps3 (lucky bugger) thru usb aswell, so thats what i suggest you do.

PSP Update Error
I have had the same problem and i fixed it!! the way i did it is I used (key cleaner). this program basically cleans bad keys. These bad keys are causing the problem. The version to download is 1.4. Also i have the thick PSP.
