My 27in tv .i push and hold button and it takes 10 to30 clicks until is turns on .and now when i try to turn it on i get no sound and no pictcher just red light is on

1. turn on your Phillps T.V. 2. Press and hold the setup button (underneath the power button) until the red light stays on. Release the button 3. Push the "TV" button on the remote once (red light sohuld go off) Press the on/off button slowly as long as it takes until your T.V. turns off. 5. Push Enter once to save the code.
unplug the television...wait 10 seconds and then plug back in....if you listen carefully after 5-10 seconds you will hear a click sound (the same sound that you hear when you turn on or off) ...once you have heard it, turn the TV on again using the remote. Do not turn on until you hear the click. If this does not work, try again but turn the TV on again before you hear the click. I dont know why it happens but it is as if the TV gets confused as to whether its supposed to be on or off. Most of the time, the solution is to turn it on after the click so I would always try that first.
You either have a cold solder joint in your horizontal deflection circuits or your or in your horizontal output circuit. please be careful due to the fly-back transformer still holds power even unplugged until you discharge it.( ground it out). Hope this helps.
I just got the same remote to work. I did the auto scan method in the instructions. turn on the tv, hold the tv and power button on the remote down until it stays lit. Then press the play button, the remote will blink 10 times, press play again and the tv should turn off in a few blinks. then when the remote finishes blinking, press the reverse button until the tv turns on again, when the tv turns on, press the stop button. Try this turn on your tv manually,Then on the control remote push and hold the code search button until the indicator light stays lit,release the code search button now push and release the device button TV and next you gotta push and release the power button until the TV turns off ( you might do this per about 150 times be patience) when the tv turns off you push and release the Enter button and the code be saved.

try unplugging for the power source for 60 seconds hold in the power for 10 seconds then plug the power cord while you are hold int power button in then release the power button... now try it (turn it on)
You have to push and hold down TV and Mute button (for 2 seconds at the same time), then release them at the same time, then push channel up until the TV turns off. Be patient and continue channel up until the TV turns off. When it turns off, then push TV again to lock the code.
You were doing fine, but missed to push channel up to fine the code.
Hold button down for unit you want to program. (TV,DVD,VCR) Then hold down on off button at same time. On/off button will turn off then come back on. When this happens push the play button. Wait 10 seconds and then push again. Repeat until unit turns off. Once unit turns off push rewind button one at a time until unit turns back on then push the stop button.
