I assume it's actually saying "write protect" and not "write project".

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When I turn on my camera to shot a picture, it will not let me. Instead a screen pops up that says "card write protected." What does this mean?

Whenever I try and pull a shot on my espresso machine, the "constant flow" led starts blinking, and water will not stop dispensing until I hit the "stop" button (does not stop...

There is a problem with the flowmeter, it is located under the drain tray with 3 electrical connectors to it. The flashing means it cannot read the magnet on the wheel. You might have to replace the flowmeter. First try programming a button on the side that is not working, if it does not hold the program then it is the flowmeter.

Take the memory card out of your camera. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again. Then put the card back into the camera.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

hi.
You must connect your card to the pc.
scan it for possible viruses or hidden files.
If possible, try to reformat it.
Check if the card still says 'Card Full' then you need a new one.

SD type cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

There is also a software protection feature on some cameras, but this is used to protect a folder or individual picture from accidental deletion, not the whole memory. You set or release this protection from the camera menus.

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked/protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card).
