The light is still on when I open the oven door, the clock is keeping time, but when I try to cook in the oven, it does not work and the display panels shows a bunch of 8888888.

How to replace light bulb in microwave model MMV5208WW-1

The support page with free manuals is here.
http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/product_literature/search_results.jsp?searchTerm=MMV5208WW1&siteCd=WHRCOM&userType=Consumer

The owner's manual says:

Cavity light: The cavity light bulb is located behind the vent
grille at the top front of the microwave oven, under the bulb
cover, and is replaceable. Remove two screws on the vent
grille, tilt the grille forward, and lift it out. Open bulb cover and
replace bulb. Close bulb cover, replace vent grille, and secure
with screws.

Cooktop light: The cooktop light bulb is located on the
underside of the microwave oven, and is replaceable. Remove
bulb cover screw, and open the bulb cover. Replace bulb,
close bulb cover, and secure with screw.

To remove the grille, see my video at microwavecontrol.com.

Where is the fuse located in a GE spacemaker xl microwave oven

Unplug microwave, remove top, follow wiring from the keypad area to the circuit board, look for a silver rectangular high voltage capacitor, discharge across the two points, and near by look for a small fuse clipped in, pop it out and replace with same current rating. If fuse blows! one or two door switches are probably bad and will need to be replaced.

Yesterday while using the stove top to cook some chili the lights under the microwave blew out with a loud "pop". It tripped the breaker switch so I reset it and everything works like it should except the...

Well I'm reaching here---if the bulb did not fracture/break then it sounds like a capacitor popped--check your owners manual for reset button but I don't think there is one for the lighting---In addition if you can see the circuit board--look for burn spot or wet spot. GL

Sharp Microwave Oven Model R-403kk-T

Are you talking about the light inside the microwave? The front vent I think will allow you to get to the bulb. Should be a couple of small scrrews holding the vent cover on, remove them take vent off. Start it up again and see if the light bulb wiring or socket is arcing

GE MICROWARE WON,T HEAT UP

Likely problem: Blown magnetron. On microwaves, this can generally go dead, usually with a popping sound. Solution: A: Call an appliance repairman to replace the magnetron in the device, or B: buy a new microwave. Depending on how much you paid for it, you might be getting a better deal on either end.

Runs but makes a super load pop sound with flame

It sounds like you're saying a flame and pop came out of the area where the internal electronics are? If that's the case, then I would suspect a failed high-voltage transformer, bad magnetron or that another high-voltage component is arcing, like maybe damaged wiring, but that's rare unless... ... I hate to suggest it, but maybe a "critter" has made his way into the high-voltage section! That can cause some really "interesting" effects! If the flame and pop are coming out of the cooking cavity, then it could be food debris or grease underneath the waveguide cover or in the waveguide. I would say the likliest cause is a failed HV transformer. If it's still under warranty, I'd call Sears right away to verify that. If it's not under warranty, you may want to pull it from the wall yourself and take it in to Sears or another shop yourself. You'll probably save about $50 as opposed to letting them come out to the home to service it.
