Starting just 4 days ago while on my trip, most of the time when I turn on my Kodak Easyshare C613 the screen says lens error 111,0,0,0, then 221,0,0,0, and then shuts off camera. Sometimes, after sitting awhile it will work, until suddenly the errors happen again. When this happens, the lens slides out a little bit, the lens opens for 2 seconds, and then slides back in before shutting off.
Looks like the only thing to do is send it in for service, which if it's out of warranty is not very cheap. Or you can sell it on ebay or craiglist and use the money to buy a comparable one. Good luck, Lee

In my experience when there is a 'lens error' there is internal damage perhaps from dropping the unit and it is fixable only by the Kodak.com website's authorized service center.
My camera is stuck on the screen that says "lens error" and then has four different numbers in a row. The camera lens is fully extended and will not shut off...any suggestions of what the problem could be?
i have the exact same camera you can hang it up and get ready to buy a new one because its not a do it yourself job and it would cost more to have it fixed than it would to buy another one just like it
This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
