My Kodak EasyShare C613 intermittently starts up ok, but other times the lens extends and the viewfinder stays on the initial screen. (The Kodak EasyShare system 'share')
After around 40 seconds the camera shuts down and the lens stays extended.

My camera is stuck on the screen that says "lens error" and then has four different numbers in a row. The camera lens is fully extended and will not shut off...any suggestions of what the problem could be?

i have the exact same camera you can hang it up and get ready to buy a new one because its not a do it yourself job and it would cost more to have it fixed than it would to buy another one just like it
Looks like the only thing to do is send it in for service, which if it's out of warranty is not very cheap. Or you can sell it on ebay or craiglist and use the money to buy a comparable one. Good luck, Lee
