The screen polarization has gone bad. it is not worth the trouble. if it is laptop take it to a tchnician to be replaced. They are usually extremlely pricy and cost almost as much as replacing the laptop and will probably be an upgrade as well. if it is a laptop you can always use the external monitor port and use a different monitor.
Remove the cmos battery for 5 - 10 minutes. That will reset all data in the bios.
