No raster, no sound on 53UWX10B

The initial problem was convergence,after replacing the ICs and resistors,then replacing the ICs a second time, because I got the
power LED in front blinking after the first replacement.
Now the TV acts like its on, no blinking LEDs, 4 green,and 1 red
lit on center board with the hi voltage circuitry, and 1 green LED on the
power supply board also lit, but there is no raster, the CRT filaments
arent even lit.
This TV seems impractical to measure voltages on with hi voltage
components right in the way.
Any info or help will be greatly appreciated.

    I have a very similar problem no raster no sound. Open back of tv blinking red on high voltage board. Solid green on small power supply mounted on the side. Front of tv blinks red. Any help would be appreciated.

Double check the wire connections, as the filaments not being lit makes me thing a wire isnt connected properly, or one may have been loosend while doing the convergence repairs.

This problems is also parts of tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all the resistors dead too.This problems the 2 STK and some or all it resistors are completely dead that why u only have red flashing light and chirping sound only.If your tv have any life function left of the tv convergence board u would have only mis alignments of colors R,G,B lines,have colors shadows or 3D pictures look alike.The shop,will cost like $300-350 to get the tv convergence board fixed also fixed this problems too.

Could not set blue convergence properly after it gradually drifting off horizontally. Replaced convergence chips with repair kit from tvrepairkits.com. Tested all resistors and they test good, within 5%...
U used every components,that came with that kit?Grounding ur self.Used a low wattage soldering iron resoldering the convergence ICS again,no matter what the resistors are in torrence or not replaced all of the resistors,still have the same problems.The 2 convergence ICS got to much heat and stastic ectricity charges it it shorted and kill the 2 convergnce ICs.

My problem with my 53" is that it has like a double picture in red outlining everything on the screen I can adjust it and take the red out to clear up the picture so that it has a normall veiw but every...
You need to go into the menu and adjust the convergence. It may be magic focus on this set. If that will not do it then replace the convergence ics. Check any resistors around the ics for open or value change.

Toshiba 42H82 Blue raster is bowed to the right in the middle to the rt. The auto convergence give an error.
You have convergence output failure. The output ICs will need to be replaced and possibly a small component like a resistor or two as well. Expect to pay a service company $350-$450 to resolve this.

Convergence repair problems.
alot of people make the mistake of putting two STK392-150 Ics in the Hitachi , and most times it will not work unless you change all the convergence resistors.. If youre going to upgrade hitachi to anything other than the stock ICs, it is recomended by Hitachi to use the STK394-160 ICs but then you have to change the ratings on the resistors. You can get the upgrade kit for your hitachi at the following link.

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-110 and you will also need one each of the following six resistors . 3.3 ohm 1watt, 1.8 ohm 1watt, 2.7 ohm 1watt, 1.5 ohm 1watt 3.9 ohm 1watt 2.2 ohm 1watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions and free online tech support. Heres the link.

My convergance on my Hiatchi model #53UWX10B has gone bad what components on which board should I replace. Can I get a service manual as well.
You will need to replace the two STK392-110 Convergence ICs and you will need 6 feed resistors as well 3.3 ohm 1watt, 1.8 ohm 1watt, 2.7 ohm 1watt, 1.5 ohm 1watt 3.9 ohm 1watt, and a 2.2 ohm 1watt. Double shadow green and pourple
check the 3.3ohm resistors right next to the convergence ICs. Also the ICs for 3.49 are most likely cheap chinese ICs and not origional sanyo ICs . I have seen the cheap ICs go out as soon as you power up the set the first time.If you need more assistance please let me know.

Color convergence problem
I'd suggest either replacing the ICs and resistors on the convergence board (requires soldering skill by yourself, someone else or an electronics repair shop) or purchasing a new convergence board from Partstore for $299 and swapping it out yourself.
While it may sound daunting, it really isn't once you find out more regarding this issue and dig into it a bit.  There's a wealth of info at the Digital Home Forum regarding this particular issue and ways to resolve it.
