Below are some solutions that other customers have cited. The control board seems to have a glitch in it, so I would take it back and get a replacement. New product is covered by a factory warranty or a dealer replacement guarantee. My husband and I just BARELY bought an LG Electric Dryer. I'ts model #DLE2516W. As soon as you hit the power button, "check filter" comes on. The right after that, the error code "Te1" flashes and it does nothing but beep. Clearly, the filter has NOTHING in it because I've never run a load of clothes thru it. When I look in the troubleshooting section of the owners manual, it tells me that this means that the thermistor is open and needs to be replaced. But I'm confused as to why a BRAND NEW dryer already needs a part replaced. Can ANYONE please help me. I have lots of laundry to do. Haha!
Comment by Amanda02, posted on Sep 11, 2007 Well... we took it back to Home Depot and they are replacing it. i was trying to fix it because it takes 3 weeks to get a new one. They don't have any in stock!! And it takes 3 darn weeks to get a new one.

I am sorry, I missed,(or forgot), that it was 2 yrs.old. If the dryer worked ok the last time you used it, then I would think that a power surge may be responsible for the failure. I would disconnect it from the power supply for 10 minutes and power it back up to see if a static discharge helped. If not, then the control board may need to be replaced. Part no.1359831.

Brand new Lg dryer 2501, error code ''nP''

I had the same issue with two new dryers. The rep on the phone said nP can also indicate a power issue. It turned out one of the wires in the outlet had broken off. Rewiring the outlet solved the problem.

My lg dle5977 electric dryer is not completely drying my clothes, what can i do about it?And also how do i take it apart?

If the dryer is heating the most likely problem will be clogged or restricted exhaust. Make sure you are getting good airflow to the outside of your home when the dryer is running. Also check to make sure the exhaust on the back is not closed off and especially make sure that it is not crimped.

I ran the dryer without the lint filter in it and now it is noisy

First of all, You have a serious safety issue. Your dryer may catch fire. DO NOT USE YOUR DRYER.

Something went into the mechanism (yes, may be another sock), and a lot of lint went inside the dryer. The dryer needs to be cleaned by a technician. Using the dryer on its condition may cause a fire. Don't get your house burned down just to save some money doing it by yourself.

Sensor dry timer problem

Clean off the moisture sensor bars. They are the silver curved strips about 4 inches long inside the drum near the lint fitler. If you use fabric softner sheets, a waxy build up will coat the bars. The dyer can no longer sense the damp clothes, so it goes into the cool down and then shuts off. Time dry bypasses the moisture sensor.
