My husband and I just BARELY bought an LG Electric Dryer. I'ts model #DLE2516W. As soon as you hit the power button, "check filter" comes on. The right after that, the error code "Te1" flashes and it does nothing but beep. Clearly, the filter has NOTHING in it because I've never run a load of clothes thru it. When I look in the troubleshooting section of the owners manual, it tells me that this means that the thermistor is open and needs to be replaced. But I'm confused as to why a BRAND NEW dryer already needs a part replaced. Can ANYONE please help me. I have lots of laundry to do. Haha!
The solution is not the thermister it is a board in the console with the transformer on it. That's what my tech says.

If its a brand new dryer then call your local warranty dealer after all if its brand new then why would you bother trying to fix it and if you take it apart the warranty will be void

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
