your operators guide (jeep) is useless for swapped in radios.

how?, is super easy and 10x on a bench.

there is but one 1 wire for power, (on all aftermarket radios) this is a standard, RED wire, must have 12vdc, (ever use a simple voltmeter)?
if radio case and black wire is grounded. are they'
if yes the radio is DOA.

some DOA radios (10000s of models made in 40 years)
have fuses inside or in back of radio, look on back first.
if you seen nothing there, it got none.
open lid, see fuses inside,?

Have you checked your handbook? It probably has a code that must now be entered to activate. Its an anti-theft measure

Normally put radio code in by holding the buttons as the numbers come up

the radio most likely has a security code activated & until you reactivate the code the radio will not work, you may have to take it to a place where they install radios to get the problem sorted out.........hope this helps........cheers,

yes if you have the code number

You can call the manufactor with the radio serial number and they will give you the code. If its a factory installed radio call the dealer they should be able to help.

Check your paper work for an Area Frequency Code and 4 digit security code.

If your radio says "COdE" use the "preset buttons" as "numbers" and put the security code in, one number at a time. If it is the right number it will flash 3 times. If not try again.

After failing to enter the correct code in 3 successive tries, you must leave the key in the "ignition on" position with the radio on. This will allow you 3 more tries to reset the 5 digit code.
If you enter an erroneous digit, you must complete the 5 digit code, even though it is wrong. You have 2 more attempts to enter the correct code.
