Adesso NuScan 1000U (NUSCAN1000U) Handheld Barcode Scanner Logo

My scanner (Adesso NuScan 1000U Handheld Barcode Scanner) constantly reboots, sometimes after every scan, sometimes three or four times before I can do a scan, and sometimes it will scan 20 items before going into reboot mode. Sounds to me like a loose wire or connection, but I have no idea where to look. This happens on 3 different computers I use it on, so I know it's not a computer connection problem.

My Wasp wws-800 works while in the docking station but not when removed, suspect li-ion battery but have not been able to find a replacement. Any ideas

your wws800 should have come with two batteries. One goes in the reception base and one goes in the scanner itself. You should allow for four to 6 hours to fully charge. When charged, scan the setup barcode on the bottom of the reception base and then the BASE code. This will allow your scanner to create a connection with the base. Give it 5 secs or so, you should hear three beeps.

I HAVE 5 SCANNERS, FOUR OF THEM SCAN AS THE ITEMS PASSES IN FORNT OF THEM AND THE FIFTH ONE NEEDS TO PRESS THE BUTTON. HOW DO I CHANGE THE FIFTH TO SCAN AUTOMATICALLY

If you look in the manual, you will see the code to place the scanner in to "stand" mode which should do as you request. This mode is restricted to certain models however. Near as I can tell, there are a few variants of the Z-3051HS model that support this. Reference the manual at the link below. Please update this with any other questions you may have.

Thanks,
Dan

Are you able to please give me the reset instructions for a symbol scanner? model: LS4278

Hi, I would be happy to assist you in resetting your LS4278, but it would be helpful to know how you are connected. The Set Defaults barcode will reset all of the scanner settings, but it will also cause you to lose the "pair" (communications) between the scanner and cradle. If you try scanning a barcode at this point you will receive a single beep followed by four error beeps. This just means the scanner is not talking to the cradle. Scan the barcode on top of the cradle. The scanner should give a high low high low series of beeps followed by a short low short high. The short low short high indicates the scanner is talking to the cradle again and you are ready to scan.

If you are connected through the USB port and scan a barcode and get one beep, but do not see data on your host try unplugging the black power supply cable from the cradle. Try scanning your barcode again and it should show up on the host.

4 beep error when scanning barcode

The four beep error is a communications error. Usually it indicates the scanne is not configured properly. If the scanner is connecting with the CBA-K01-S07PAR cable and you are using a PS/2 keyboard you should have scanned the IBM PC/AT barcode from Adobe page 56 of 342 of the LS2208 Product Reference Guide.

If you do not have a PS/2 keyboard attached and are using a USB to PS/2 adapter you should scan the IBM AT Notebook from that same page. If the scanner does not start working immediately you may have to reboot your system. If the scanner still does not work the CBA-U01-S07ZAR USB cable might be a better choice.

If you are not connecting with either of these cables and are still getting the four beep error a call to the Motorola support center may be in order. Their phone number is 800-653-5350.

Symbol LS 4000i scanner issues

Hello, it looks like the scanner lost the settings. As power is there, so connection is ok. The several (four) beeps after reading the barcode means communication error.
Please try to find the original sheet with configuration barcodes or download it from support.symbol.com website, you would need to scan the barcode for IBM PC/AT & IBM Compatibles from Keyboard Wedge Chapter.
