My suggestion use Gmail and import your old email with the aid of the video above. Not all is lost.

In Outlook, you can use the Import and Export Wizard as the interface for Address Book conversion. To convert a WAB file, follow these steps: 1. Start Outlook if it is not currently running. 2. NOTE: With the exception of rules conversion from Outlook Express, the steps to convert addresses is the same. 7. Click Next. 8. Select a destination for the imported address data. The destination depends on the type of Outlook installation you selected initially. a. The Internet Mail Only installation of Outlook 98 allows only the Contacts folder as the destination. b. The Corporate or Workgroup option allows the options of Personal Address Book or Outlook Contacts. 9. Select the appropriate duplicate items option. Click Finish to complete the import.

What kind of email accounts can I use in Outlook Express? Outlook Express can be used for any POP3 or IMAP email account. POP3, which stands for Post Office Protocol 3, is a set of rules with which one accesses and downloads emails. IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a set of rules with which emails are assessed.
If you have a web site hosted on a server, most likely the hosting package would come with a few POP3 email accounts. Thus, [email protected] would most likely be a POP3 email.
Can I receive emails from online email services in Outlook Express? Online email services such as Gmail provide free POP3 access to the email account; you should read configure Gmail account on Outlook Express if you want step-by-step instructions on how to do that. Hotmail used to have this feature but it has since discontinued it. Other popular online emails services might charge a small fee for POP3 access.

(Outlook Express) Email is not configured to relay mail to address
Try this settings:

Outlook Express

1. Click Tools then Accounts
2. Click Mail
3. Click Properties
4. Click Servers
5. In the Account Name field, it should be the first part of your email address (probably it's like this already).
6. Put a checkmark by My Server Requires Authentication at the bottom of the page.
7. Click Settings
8. Select Log on Using
   • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
   • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
9. Click Apply
10. Click OK
11. Click Close
    

This should fix the Outlook Express to send email, close Outlook Express and re-open it to start sending mail.

Microsoft Outlook

1. Click Tools then Email Accounts (Accounts and Services on older versions of Outlook)
2. Click View and Change and Click Next (skip if it opens up to the account screen)
3. Click Change or Properties of your Email Account
4. Click More Settings
5. Click Outgoing Server
6. Check My Server Uses Authentication
7. Select Log on Using
   • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
   • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
8. Click OK
9. Click Next
10. Click Finish
    

This should fix the Outlook to send email. Close Outlook and re-open it to start sending mail.

the first thing to check is the properties on your outlook
to check your IP address
right click on the start button
go to properties
go to the toolbars
check the address box
the address tool will show up on the bottom of your screen
scroll down and you will find your IP address
make sure it matches you outlook IP

you should be able to check your email from any computer
check you POP3 also
you can get that information from outlook support
the POP3 will look like ([email protected]) something like that

When adding Contacts to your Outlook Express, add the Display Name and Email address (double check that the email address is accurate) then, press the save button at the bottom of the screen on the right hand side. By pressing the Add button, you are telling the program that you wish to add a second email address for this person (Contact) and this may be what is causing your issue when trying to access contacts. Some people type smpt instead of smtp (please check it)

also, you need to change your port to 465, instead of 25.

go into your outlook - tools - options - mail setup tab - email accounts - view or change existing email accounts select the POP3/SMTP account click CHANGE you want to delete the entry that has your yahoo email address and password etc showing..
