It's look like you have a problem with hdd or motherboard.
basically, your motherboard isnot detecting your hdd.

try to boot and press F2 to go to bios and check your hdd in bios.
if it is takes long time to go to bios. most of the time your hdd is dead.
but it is fast and your hdd isnot detected in bios. it's mean your motherboard is bad.

if your harddrive is dead, you can replace it with new harddrive.

I asked you to trouble shoot so you can see which one is having problem (motherboard or hdd).

    Most likely is hdd.

about the age of computer ? i don't have any comment.

i saw some people just got their laptop and they got problem with their laptop.

My acer 3680 laptop wo't read a 4 gig hc sd card

Good day sir/maam, you may need a driver for your SD card reader for vista. pop in the cd that came with your notebook to the cd drive. make sure its for Vista.
If still does not work, plug in a non HC sd, like a 1 gig SD card. if it works, then the card reader only supports non hc SD. ( I know it usually supports HC cards ) check also for viruses. there are viruses that can dissable sd card readers. just make sure your laptop is virus free.

Acer Aspire 3680 Stopped working.

It almost sounds like the computer has went into hybernation mode. I would hold the switch down until i heard a click (should take about 20 to 30 seconds). If that doesn't work I would find an authorized repair center for Acer computers.

Lost webcam driver

you can download the driver (webcam) from www.acerpanam.com

FYI, if you can't find the driver under AS 3680, try AS 5570 or AS 5570z

Video drivers

it may be that there is a problem with the bios, as Vista enabled laptops have a later bios version, but i assume that you have exclamation marks where you mention these devices, if not then you have windows generic drivers running instead which will need to be uninstalled first especially the raphics driver as that would cause the main crashes. if you have no exclamation marks against these devices right click on each and select uninstall. Try again to install or run the drivers then restart the notebook and see which drivers the system tries to install, if you get the choice install them manually and point windows to install the drivers from where you have them saved if you are unable to run them. if you do succeed my advice is to install Vista on a seperate partition as i did so as to enable a dual boot and have both systems available when i need them
