Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
It may be that there is a problem with the bios, as Vista enabled laptops have a later bios version, but i assume that you have exclamation marks where you mention these devices, if not then you have windows generic drivers running instead which will need to be uninstalled first especially the raphics driver as that would cause the main crashes. if you have no exclamation marks against these devices right click on each and select uninstall. Try again to install or run the drivers then restart the notebook and see which drivers the system tries to install, if you get the choice install them manually and point windows to install the drivers from where you have them saved if you are unable to run them. if you do succeed my advice is to install Vista on a seperate partition as i did so as to enable a dual boot and have both systems available when i need them

If you were to log on to the acer.com web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as
usually one is able to download if available, by model number,
Customer Instruction Manuals,
list of Dealers,
for
spare parts and service, Driver
downloads
and
Installation Instructions as required.
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!
There
are no XP drivers to be found with Microsoft as XP is no longer
supported.
Some
manufacturers may have a limited number of Drivers still listed.
I hope this helps.

So?
There are no video drivers for XP, right? Maybe Microsoft doesn't want to support WinXP any more - that's why the like installing the stupid Vista. Somebody found a solution?
